Rainy seasons didn’t seem to affect here all that much. Water left from light showers were quickly evaporated, or absorbed by the slight amount of vegetation. A small gust of wind threw up the dry soil, covering the small fox. With a slight surprise of feeling well rested, Pike rose, stretching out his back, legs, and a small yawn released from his jaws. He welcomed the new day, hopeful for a good adventure. A few unsuccessful digs for food later, he’d decided to break and keep walking on. Nothing had taken to his interest, boredom slowly set in. He let out a small huff. ‘Woo, more dirt,’ he thought to himself. The one thing he took notice to was the cracks, jagged and uneven lining the ground. A smile played on his lips as he hopped and jumped, avoiding every little crack he saw. Small bits of glee rushed through him, despite the game being meaningless. Carelessly hopping across the, now, warm terrain, he failed to take notice of an impending sharp rock protruding from the earth. Confidently Pike’s paws landed, time and time again, clear of any cracks. Unfortunately, looking solely for cracks he’d landed his back right directly on the pointed stone. His game was over, letting a yelp of pain come from him. Hopping, this time to avoid using his injured leg he gained a few feet from the spot of the incident. Slowly sitting himself down, he surveyed his paw; there was no bleeding just slight sensitivity of the area. He studied the area around him, still nothing attention grabbing, sparing dry vegetation. Few bugs crossing his face, one of particular interest made him spring up. He jumped lively, attempting to catch the dragonfly. As if it were mocking his height, the dragonfly flew just above his reach. Not to be discouraged, Pike growled and leaped at it all the same, forgetting if he’d been alone or not. Ooc; Used what I wrote for the sample in his bio xD [/scrolly] |
