Now that summer was over she didn't have to worry about overheating because of her coat. But, as much as she liked water, she couldn't stand the rain. Unfortunately for her, Hexasol was given an abundance of it now that fall had finally arrived.
For most of the day she wandered the streets of the city, looking for something to the panther of her boredom. There were mostly felines out and about at the moment, none of which caught her attention. She did catch glimpses of, what dirty looks being shot at her until Siri looked at the other felines and they turned away in fear. There were some dogs out too, but they were so small she could imagine herself swallowing them whole; it would be no challenge killing them and it wouldn't really help her with her current boredom.
The skies soon grew dark as rainclouds blocked the sunlight, which she payed no attention to until drops of rain started to fall and quickly soaked her fur. She bounded into the building near her for shelter and shook her coat once she was inside. This particular building was filled with various sized metal box-looking things, no doubt something else the humans had to abandon.
She slowly moved forward, checking for any signs that someone else had also chosen this place for shelter, she stopped and looked around when she was sure that no one else was here. What little light this place had came from outside, and because outside was kind of dark too she was provided with many places where she would mostly go unnoticed.
She jumped on the roof of a car that was just as dark as her coat and lay down on the hood, which was on the opposite side of the path she walked down. She then began to, contentedly, lick her fur clean, completely unaware of her surroundings.

"Speech"
Hektor could sense more rain was coming. Ever since the heat of summer had come to a close, sudden bouts of cold rain had been on and off. Hektor felt like every time his coat dried, rain started up again. He didn't really mind rain normally, but it was becoming slightly annoying to the large male, as it would to any animal with an inherently damp coat. He hadn't caught any food since the day before, and that had been a small rabbit. Plump, but small, and it had done little to stave of the large dogs hunger. His stomach growled, but he knew that all the animals that would be good prey would be taking shelter in a few minutes, and wasting the energy to find something would be pointless. Besides, he wasn't starving, just slightly uncomfortable. He would survive. That was a given. If he could survive a year of imprisonment, slavery, and torture, he could survive a night with an empty stomach.
The mutt dog lifted his nose to the sky. Scents where very difficult to pinpoint in the recent weather. Everything had the fresh smell of rain covering it, masking any nearby animals. Hektor was growing uncomfortable with that fact. He could run into somebody any second. He could run into a cat. Maybe even an ambush. Those creatures would go to any length to do harm to the world, and Hektor wouldn't put it above them. Suddenly, the sound of thunder shook the skies, and a downpour picked up again. Hektor stood for a moment, annoyance temporarily taking over his hesitation. Looking around, he spotted the entrance to an old human building that went down into the ground. He ran for cover, and was happy to make it out of the torrential rain after a few seconds. Hektor was about to shake out his fur, but he suddenly froze, body rigid. Something was not right. Quietly, he sniffed the air, and a scent filled his nostrils, an unmistakable odor. Cat. Hektor wrinkled his nose in absolute disgust. One of those things had taken the same shelter as he had. He decided to follow the scent, rather than head out back into the storm outside. His fur was dripping wet as he followed the trail deeper into the building, keeping alert for any signs of life. A feline could be lurking behind, under, or maybe even on top of one of those human made metal boxes. His mind was set, though.
He would hunt it down.

The jaguar continued to contentedly lick her fur until the sound of claws hitting concrete caught her attention. She immediately paused, stayed as still as a statue and listened. From what she could hear, no doubt, a canine had chosen this area for temporary shelter also. A smirk appeared on her face at her thoughts; this place could also act as that dogs grave once she was done with it.
Siri silently and slowly slid off of the hood of the black car she had rested on, making as little noise as possible. She then silently moved in front of the rows of cars in the opposite direction the dog was headed. She stuck to the shadows and managed to catch a glimpse of her new prey. Siri didn't usually keep toys but, just this once, maybe she would make an exception. The dog was a male, large in size; he looked like a formidable opponent.
She swiftly moved to the opposite side when she was sure the dog wasn't looking at her and, once again, hid in the darkness. Then she spoke, letting her voice echo throughout the area the dog and jaguar were in. "Congratulations, cur. You have the honor of keeping me entertained."
She silently moved along the front of the cars again, watching the dog as she tried to see his reaction, and waiting to see what he would do. Slowly, she crouched between two cars as she continued to watch and wait for the right time to pounce.
