PERSONALITY |
Superstition is foolish, childish, primitive and irrational - but how much does it cost you to knock on wood?
Subservient
Adjective - Prepared to obey others unquestioningly.
Though many will mistake this for loyalty, it is simply a case of self preservation. One does not deny the request of those who have power above them. Perhaps Sawyer is paranoid to the point of obedience, but his reasoning matters not. If a canine was able to prove him or herself capable of binding him, he will do as they wish, no matter how foolish or deviant the request may be.
Impassive
Adjective - Without emotion; apathetic; unmoved.
Emotions are a dangerous thing to have when every step you make is a wrong one - perhaps the only emotion that still seems to grip him is paranoia and fear. Sawyer has not felt the weight of sadness or the levity of mirth in many years - in fact, in childhood, when they should have been most abundant, was when they were lost. Sawyer is capable of showing false emotions, so it is not uncommon to see him smile or frown - it is simply that many do not realize that none of these gestures are sincere.
Superstitious
Adjective - Showing ignorance of the laws of nature and faith in magic or chance.
Perhaps the most recognizable of his traits is his absurd, erratic fascination with superstitions - though in all fairness, it was not something he decided for himself. From his childhood, he has spent every waking moment in terror or a greater power sending forces to smite him for his smallest indiscretions.
His superstitions are not local to one culture - his mother was a very cultured canine, having traveled several places in her life and hearing their stories - which she then shared with her children. So while he may not have to worry about monsters that are only found in Africa coming to get him in Hexasol, he is always weary. This helps the slow descent into madness the canine is eventually going to face - he knows he can never escape this. He just has to watch his step.
Obsessive Compulsive
Adjective - Characterized by obsessions and compulsions;
Sawyer has a severe case of OCD - considering things pointing in different directions, things ordered incorrectly, and other small faux pas as such can bring deadly consequences. Sawyer will not leave something be until it is met with all his standards and is no longer a threat to him.
Deranged
Adjective - Not sane; not of sound mind; mentally unstable.
Sawyer is not foreign to the word 'insane', for he has been called it many times by those who do not understand the way in which he operates. Sawyer will seem to snap at nothing, grow irritable at the slightest change, really anything is liable to set him off. Considering the sheer number of superstitions that complicate his mind, every simple action becomes a falling domino. No doubt as he grows older, he will lose the final shreds of sanity that keep him from being completely lethargic.• likes | clovers. wishbones. horseshoes. rabbits feet. click here.

APPEARANCE |
Irish Wolfhounds are one of the most impressive breeds of dog - and Sawyer is no exception. His pelt is a patchwork of tan (though it has a certain sheen that leaves it looking a bit more silver), black, and white. The most noticeable patches of black are on his chest, his legs, the underside of his muzzle, above his eyes, and on his ears - the only patch of white on him is in the middle of his chest; a vibrant diamond. As per breed standard, Sawyer has long, wiry hair, long legs, a compact frame built for speed and agility, and powerful jaws for hunting. Sawyer's eyes are brown, though may appear almost maroon in the correct lighting. He most often carries himself in a submissive pose, with tailed tucked and ears back. His face is often fairly passive and emotionless, though he may show slight traces of fear or anger from time to time. His emotions are not often genuine.• height | thirty five inches
