He was now stepping into the city for the first time since he left several months ago, or at least near it. But this place was technically Hexasol too, right? He wasn't planning on going into the city much, if at all, so it didn't really matter either way. The point was he was backand the first faces he wanted to see were the two wolves he had come to call his family, Dawn and Lee. He hardly fit into their little group, but he loved them. He and Dawn had gone through a lot together, so she meant a lot to him, even more so than his first adoptive mother.
Autumn couldn't even recall why he had left in the first place, but it had helped him. Before then, he had never really been alone. He had his adoptive mother, and once she died the scavengers were right there waiting for him. Once the battle was over and most of the scavengers had died, he had Dawn, and then Lee. These past few months he had been alone, and that helped him not be so dependant on others.
The small coyote difted out of his thoughts when he reached the edge of the lake. He stopped right at the edge, with his toes almost touching the water. He looked out over the lake, at the trees on the other side. He was thankful that he arrived during the day, if he'd arrived at night he wouldn't have been able to see. At the base of the trees were groups of gnarled roots, and somewhere in those roots was a den, and in that den he was hoping to find a few wolves.
A new energy shot through the small canine while staring and he began bouncing on his toes. A grin split his face and he turn and began racing around the lake. The earth was soft under his paws front begin so close to the water so his claws didn't have much to hold onto, but he didn't let that slow him down too much. He slowed down some once he was around halfway there, but not too much.
He steadily slowed down as he was going and was slowly walking by the time he reached the other side. He took a long look at his surroundings while padding towards the trees, soaking in the familiar sights. He took in a deep breath once he was around the mouth of the den, then froze. Lee's scent was there, but Dawn's wasn't. Maybe a little. if your focused on just her, but not enough. A worried look crossed his face and he looked around once more. He sat down slowly, deciding to wait for Lee to get back, if he was coming back, so Autumn could ask him what new had happened.

Lee had been out hunting for himself when Autumn had entered their old home. Far from his mind were the troubles of days past - he had been making an extra effort to live in the moment, and not get too hung up over his mother and the fact that his older brother was no longer around. Honestly, he had never expected the coyote to ever come back. Lee had resigned himself to being alone for the rest of his life if he had to.
Though to be perfectly honest, he was more tempted than ever to run to Brooke and ask to join The Tempest Pack. There was something holding him back though, something that kept him coming home to the den he'd grown up from a pup into a young adult. Perhaps it was some false, misguided hope that one day Dawn would just come back. How he missed his mother more than anything. And Autumn... Autumn too. He couldn't help but be a little bit bitter at the thought of his brother though - why had he even left in the first place? When Dawn needed him to be there the most? When Lee needed him.
And it was with those thoughts in mind that he found the coyote in question, sitting in the den, waiting for him to return. Lee dropped the rabbit in his jaws in surprise, the limp body hitting the floor with a little thunk. For a few moments, he stood there, eyes wide as saucers. A whole torrent of emotions seemed to wash over him in that next instant. He wasn't sure if he wanted to attack his stupid older brother or embrace him. Deep down, he wasn't really mad, of course. He loved Autumn more than anything.
"I... you... is it really?" he managed to splutter at last. "Autumn?!"

Pretty soon the small canine was starting to realize how much he didn't want to be sitting still in such cold weather. He thought about taking a walk to stretch his legs several times, but decided against doing so each time since he didn't want to take the risk of missing Lee or Dawn. Of course, Lee could follow his scent to where ever he would be, but Autumn wanted to be home when the wolves got there. He also decided that yes, it was a good idea to have eaten before he got here.
He spent most of his time staring at the ground, worrying about that lack of Dawn's scent around the den, the rest of the time was spent scanning the area for the familiar figures of his family. Well, Lee might not be so familiar? Autumn would recognize him, of course, but it might take a moment due to him being a pup last time the coyote was here. He was probably bigger than Autumn by now!
The faint sound of footsteps and the small thud of something hitting the ground made Autumn's eyes shoot up from their death stare at the ground. Standing before him was a black wolf with a rabbit at his paws. Autumn's tail began sweeping side to side and and gave his brother a grin. "Lee!" He was still living here after all!
Autumn stood as Lee began to speak - or try to. Unable to stand where he was any longer, the coyote dashed forward to greet his brother, tail going a mile a minute. "Lee! It's so great to see you again, I've missed you so much!" He squeaked out.

Eyes still wide with disbelief, Lee stood pinned to one spot, a million questions running through his mind. Was it really Autumn standing in front of him? Why had he come home? Where even had he gone off to? But then the one thing he dreaded rang out from the deepest corridors of his conscious. He'd have to tell his brother about Dawn...
As the coyote approached him, his tail wagging rapidly, Lee did his best to smile, but grief was quickly settling into his body, overtaking the rest of his emotions in it's lingering, dark presence, "A-Autumn... It's great to see you. I missed you so much..." he managed to choke out. His tail wagged behind him a few times, but then dropped. Lee couldn't take this. No one had been here for him since Dawn passed away. No one. And now that he had someone again, he wasn't even sure what he should do. He wanted to be mad, but he couldn't bring himself to feel that sort of malice for his own brother. He didn't know. It wasn't his fault...
"Autumn..." he repeated, his voice cracking. He could feel the tears welling up, and suddenly, without any warning, Lee buried his face into his brother's chest, shaking violently, legs threatening to give in beneath him. He tried to hold in the sob that wanted to escape, but failed in his attempt, "Autumn... m-mom.... she d... d--" But he couldn't finish the sentence. It was much too painful to say it. Lee still didn't even want to believe it.
