As a guard in the Iris Pride, Daisy spent much time on the rooftops of Hexasol. She was determent on helping the Pride even though she had her disability. Her left hind leg didn’t always work optimally, especially not in cold weather where her halting was worst, so Daisy was thankful for the warmer weather. Spring. It felt good that she didn’t had to freeze on duty, but luckily she was a Maine Coon and her thick fur made the winter months easier to overcome than other feline breeds. She knew that the lions – who where one of the biggest and most powerful breeds in the Pride – had trouble with keeping warm in the harsh winters.
The grey and white furred cat liked her job as a guard. She didn’t need to use her legs too much, unless she patrolled the area, she was more reliable on her keen senses. She needed to use her sense of smell, to listen and to watch. She might not be a big, frightening tiger but only few canines came across her unseen – if anyone at all. She hadn’t heard about any canines that’d trespass the border in her area. And she was quite proud of that fact. Who had thought that a former trophy-winner could be useful to a pride like Iris? She knew that many of her kind had died lonely in the winters. They hadn’t been able to survive after the humans’ death of the unknown disease. Her kind of house cats had been vain, lazy and spoiled. They’d never been taught to fend for themselves and they’d been too proud to work with others. Felines were loners, but in this war you had to work together to survive. And Daisy was determined to do so. Yes, she was proud, and yes, she was vain. But not like she’d been when she’d lived with the old lady. She knew what she had to do to see a dog free Hexasol, and she would do it. And in the few years she’d spent in the Iris Pride, where she’d kept watch at the border, Daisy had learnt to like the company of other felines and sometimes felt lonely if she sat a whole day on her own.

Falcon never really spent much time out on the roof tops, he was a hunter after all and prey wasn't plentiful here. For some reason today, he just felt like exploring the area. He figured it would help him learn to understand his whereabouts and get to know the full territory of the Iris pride he belonged to. Because he spent most of his time on the ground, he wasn't as nimble as most cats, especially guards. Because they had to keep look out, they spent most of their time on high vantage points where they had a large view. Occasionally the tom cat would stumble and slide slightly down the side of the roofs but he did his best to get himself back up.
He wasn't really searching for anything, just exploring. Not long had passed before he spotted a figure just ahead of him. By it's stature he could tell it was another feline and by it's scent, he knew it was an Iris cat. He also sensed it was a female and a grin immediately formed itself on his features. The large Maine coon male lifted his head and puffed out his chest in an attempt to seem bold and powerful. He took one deep breath before approaching the feline. As he got closer, he could make out more of the female. She had long, thick fur, much like his own, adding to his assumption she was a fellow Maine coon cat.
"Enjoying the view?" Falcon asked as he got close enough for them to hear each other speak. He continued to stroll forward, stopping just a few inches away from the she-cat in front of him. He had a charming grin on his face, his two sharp fangs just visible beneath his lip.

She slightly pricked up her ears as she heard another creature approach. By its light steps and by its scent she assumed it was another feline, a cat to be more specific. And by the scent she could easily tell that the other cat was a male. ”Enjoying the view?” he asked. The male’s voice was bold in a delicate way, like it caressed her sensitive ears. Without looking at him, Daisy could tell that this male was well known in how to behave among females. He knew what they wanted to hear, and he knew how they wanted to hear it. He knew what they wanted and how to give it to them. And when turning her head to face him, Daisy knew that he was someone who used to get what he wanted. His charming grin was bold, playing with her, daring her. Flirting. He wasn’t the gentleman type she’d been used to encountering when she’d lived as a show-cat. This male was a flirt. He just acted like a gentleman to get what he wanted, and this charmer knew how to act. Unfortunately for him, Daisy had learnt how to deal with his kind. She wasn’t the innocent and ignorant lady she’d been in her former life. She’d changed, and she wasn’t sorry for that. It just made it more fun for her.
”You could say so. I see no canines, and that makes the view pleasant to watch.” she said, her voice slightly sophisticated while looking at him. She had to confess to herself that this one really was candy to the eye. She had to be careful and not look at him all the time. She wouldn’t walk straight into his trap even though it was tempting. She would try to toy a bit with him, because there would be no fun in him if he only had the look. He needed some brain between his ears, otherwise she wouldn’t spend too much time on chattering with him. That would only be a waste of time since she already knew what he wanted. She looked down on the alleys again, looking like she was doing her job, before she spoke again. This time, her tone was more serious. ”Besides, if you shouldn’t know, then it’s my duty as one of the Guards of the Pride to keep the canines off our border. I’m not just sitting here for fun.” She wanted to see what he would respond on this. Was he someone who took his job within the Pride serious? Or was he just one of those lazy dudes who hang around?
((OOC: I’ll let them talk a bit before I let Daisy walk, maybe in her next post Falcon can see her halting – just need to keep him interested first (; ))

The air was gentle up on the rooftops but it still brought a slight chill. Yes it was Spring, but it was early Spring, meaning Winter hadn't completely let go of Hexasol just yet. The large male's tail continued to flicker behind him as he waited for the she cat in front of him to respond to his question. He wasn't really looking for the direct answer, it was just so he could start a conversation with this rather attractive feline. He thought of it as more of a chat up line, rather than a necessary question.
"You could say so. I see no canines, and that makes the view pleasant to watch." Falcon's sensitive ears twitched as the female spoke, her voice carrying a sense of sophistication and elegance, this appealed to the flirtatious tom cat. When she mentioned canines, he immediately had a small flash back to his past. The dog that day didn't physically scar him, but he did mentally. He simply nodded in response to her statement and mumbled an almost inaudible "Yeah." Shaking the memory from his mind, the large Maine coon returned his focus to the other Maine coon in front of him. Being the same species also made Falcon find her alluring.
”Besides, if you shouldn’t know, then it’s my duty as one of the Guards of the Pride to keep the canines off our border. I’m not just sitting here for fun.” Falcon immediately nodded his head, taking a few more steps to wards the fellow Iris feline. He was now just inches away from her. "And I totally respect that. But you gotta admit, it's still pretty cool. You know, seeing all the impressive sights and all. You don't get that much glamor when you're a hunter." The four and a half year old feline replied, glancing at the floor slightly. "Hunting's all about the chase though and in my opinion, that beats any perfect view." The Maine coon replied with a grin tugging at his features. He really did love his duty in the pride. Falcon kept his gaze on the female, his deep green eyes meeting hers.

Daisy didn’t have to look away from the alleys beneath them to know that the tom cat had stepped closer to her. She was sure that if she learned herself just a bit to the side, her whiskers would touch his. The thought about doing it was tempting, but she had to hold herself back. Touching him at this rate would just end all the fun and she’d already told herself that she would learn more about him before she decided anything further. Therefore, the grey she cat let the few inches between them stay intact, and with that, the excitement in the game. But his words still caught her attention and she moved her irises toward his direction without moving her head. Yes, it was quite an impressive view she got from the rooftops, but she was more interested in the other fact he came up with. A Hunter, so that was what he was. Then Daisy better understood why she hadn’t seen him before. As a Hunter, this tom would spend a lot of time down on the ground or outside of the Pride’s territory. She could of course have seen him a single time or two from up here, but as long as she didn’t know the name on the specific cat, she just let those without an unknown scent pass by. As long as they smelled of Iris, there shouldn’t be any alarm. She turned her head to get a better look at him when he continued, her yellow eyes meeting his green. ”I suppose you’re right,” she said thoughtfully. Chasing. Yes, that really must beat any wonderful view, but it wasn’t like she could chase anything as much as him. With her handicap, Daisy had to know how to sneak close up to her prey before she could take it down. She didn’t have the ability to run fast for long distances anymore – not even after the operation. She pulled herself a bit together. This wasn’t the time to think about what she couldn’t do anymore. She’d accepted her disability, but that didn’t mean she wanted to be weak. ”You must have had a hard time here in winter,” she said to slightly change the subject. ”The winter was long and hard this year, and still you look quite fit for fight,” she said with a little smile and rose from her place to pace along the edge of the rooftop, enjoying the breeze and hoping he would follow her. She liked his grin that had shown on his face. It somehow made her happy inside. He seemed to be active enough in the Pride and not just some lazy womanizer. Maybe he actually was worth spending time with. Daisy then noticed that while she was walking she was slightly halting on her left hind leg where the dog had wounded her before she joined the Iris Pride. Strange, it’s not that cold anymore, she thought, beginning to be a bit worried. Maybe it was because the winter had been so hard towards her bad leg that it still didn’t work optimally. She hoped the tom cat wouldn’t notice, though the chances of that were small. He would be close to stupid if he didn’t notice, but then she could only hope that he wouldn’t say anything. But what were the chances for that? ((OOC: Finally made it! ))

The young male took one more step forward so now he was directly at the side of Daisy. His whiskers twitched a few times as he took in her scent. He breathed deeply, his green eyes closed as he did so so he could really concentrate. He itched to move closer but he resisted. Falcon was known for being a flirt with pretty much any female that came his way but this one was rather attractive in his opinion.
”I suppose you’re right,” Daisy's response caught the male off guard. He was too deep in thought that her words made him jump slightly. Cringing, he hoped she hadn't notice. It was only a small twitch but with being so close, there's a chance she could have spotted it. Attempting to distract the she-cat from his flinch, he nodded his head quickly in agreement. ”You must have had a hard time here in winter,” Mentioning Winter, Falcon drifted in to thought of his hunting experiences in the coldest season of the year. He nodded slowly, his green eyes still focused on hers. ”The winter was long and hard this year, and still you look quite fit for fight,” Falcon nodded again, his long tail flickering slightly behind him as he stood beside Daisy.
"Yeah, the Winter really does put a strain on hunting, especially this year. This year had a tough Winter." He replied calmly before realizing her statement about him looking fit. A grin tugged at his features. Did that mean she thought he was attractive too? It could have just been a friendly compliment but Falcon always took things seriously when it came to females. Watching the Daisy get to her paws, Falcon was hot on her heels. Tilting his head to the side, Falcon was puzzled about her movements. She wasn't using her leg properly. Thoughts drifted in and out of his head over what could have caused it.
"Something real gnarly's happened to your leg, huh?" Closing his eyes tight, he realized what he had just said. It was rude to just point out peoples flaw's like that and he deeply regretted it. "I'm sorry! That sounded rude, ummm, I didn't mean it in a bad way. I'm just, errr, curious...that's all." He spoke with fast words and he felt his face get hot. "Sorry." He added quietly, looking at the floor. Nice going Falcon. Really cool." He scolded himself mentally. All he could do now was hope for the best. Maybe she wouldn't take it badly. Falcon could only wish.

Unfortunately, what Daisy had hoped wouldn’t happen just happened. As the tom followed her to stroll on the rooftop, he realized that she didn’t walk properly. Not because she had a bad posture, but because of the injury she’d gotten long ago. She made a grimace he couldn’t see before she turned to face him again. At least he sounded like he was sorry for what he’d just pointed out, so Daisy chose to be nice to him and not immediately blame him for being rude. After all, it wasn’t really a secret that she sometimes was limping, so it was just fair to tell him the story behind it. ”Well, that’s fine. And yes, something “gnarly” happened,” she sighed shortly before she continued, a little breeze catching her long fur. ”Before the humans died, I lived in a human’s house and I often spent time in her garden. But one day the fence had somehow been broken, so a dog came in and attacked me as I was least aware of danger.” She paused and narrowed her eyes slightly at the memory. ”The veterinarians helped me, but they couldn’t safe my left leg completely which is the cause of my limping.”
Daisy shrugged. ”But enough of all the sad stuff - I’m doing fine and even though my leg doesn’t work optimally, I’m still useful for the Pride,” she said, some pride finding its way to her voice. ”So, you’re a hunter,” she concluded, flicking her tail, ”might be my leg isn’t working that well, but I can still hunt.” An almost daring smile had come upon her lips. Maybe he would be polite and say he believed her, but she wanted to show him as well. She didn’t just want him to back off and think she was a silly cripple. She could fend for herself if necessary, and she would show this handsome tom that she could be just as good as any other female. ”If you want, I can show it to you tomorrow morning. We could meet just outside the Pride’s territory in Puzzlewood Forest. There should be plenty of game there to find, so, you’re in?” she asked him, still with a daring smile.

”Well, that’s fine. And yes, something “gnarly” happened,” A feeling of guilt and regret sweaped over the Maine Coon male. He knew his curiosity would get the better of him eventually. He did want to know what happened to the female's leg but he also didn't want her to feel like she had to open up to him if she didn't want to. ”Before the humans died, I lived in a human’s house and I often spent time in her garden. But one day the fence had somehow been broken, so a dog came in and attacked me as I was least aware of danger.” Falcon's green eyes were wide. So a dog had wrecked Daisy's life too. He guess that's why both felines were in the Iris pride but still, it was shocking to hear another cat's story. ”The veterinarians helped me, but they couldn’t safe my left leg completely which is the cause of my limping.” Falcon's ears twitched as Daisy continued her story, his eyes fixed entirely on her. "That's terrible." He spoke in slow, quiet words.
”But enough of all the sad stuff - I’m doing fine and even though my leg doesn’t work optimally, I’m still useful for the Pride,” The change in topic distracted the grey tomcat from his thoughts. "I'm sure you are." Falcon returned to his charming tone and flashed a gentle smile at Daisy. ”So, you’re a hunter,” The Maine Coon nodded his head quickly, lifting it slightly in a proud manner. ”might be my leg isn’t working that well, but I can still hunt. If you want, I can show it to you tomorrow morning. We could meet just outside the Pride’s territory in Puzzlewood Forest. There should be plenty of game there to find, so, you’re in?” An excited grin plastered it's self on Falcon's features. "I'm definitely in for that!" He mewed with a little too much enthusiasm.
Finally Falcon had the chance to show-off to Daisy and let her know that he was a good and successful hunter. A sense of worry was still in him though. He wanted to hunt with Daisy, he really did, he just didn't want her to have to put too much pressure on her leg and potentially injure herself even more. Still, he was an optimistic cat and anything was possible.

Good, he was in for her little dare. It seemed like they were going to have some fun in the forest tomorrow. She would show him that he’d no reason to doubt in her skills. Well, of course he would be better at hunting than her since he was the Hunter and she was the Guard, but compared to the fact Daisy had an injured leg, she was quite proud of her hunting skills. And proud was definitely a word to describe her – on many parts. Not just when it came to hunting.
She lashed gently with her bushy tail and smiled at the handsome tom cat. ”Good, then we have a deal. Meet me by sunrise in the forest,” she said, turning around. ”I’m Daisy by the way.”She shot a single daring glance at him before she jumped down on a balcony under them. With a few more leaps, she was on another roof. It was time for her to patrol a bit in the area and keep to her duty instead of chatting too much. Besides, they would learn each other better to know, she was sure of it. And tomorrow, Daisy would learn if he actually had a brain of his own or if he was just some boring slacker who wasn’t worth spending time on. Right now she actually had quite mixed feelings about this encounter. He was pure candy to the eye so Daisy really wanted to just give in and let herself be seduced by him, but the reasonable part of her told her to be patient and try him out. So their little date tomorrow would hopefully make her surer about this graceful tom.
((OOC: Feel free to make a final post with Falcon if you like, but this is probably the last reply I’ll make here unless there’s more you want to plot out ^^))
