Ember walks. Ember talks. Ember's thoughts.
A lioness allowed her jaw to drop as an air current rushed to the roof of her mouth. She could taste the scent of small animals feeding in the area. She was surrounded by trees, in a forest and had come to a stretch of meadow before her. It seemed as if this was an area where prey seemed to feed. Ember was a year old now. She had forgotten about where she came from. Now that she was much older, and stronger the taunts from her Pride had died down. Since her mother was a good fighter, most of the members didn't have the nerve to push her around anymore. She was much younger and sometimes even larger. Even for the small size she had inherited from her mother.
The brown lioness knew she was in Lexis territory. Though Icefang had told her this was where all the prey was to be found. The plump, rich prey. Ember flicked her tail as she scanned the area. Her smell had slowly disappeared as she aged. Now it was almost completely gone, even had a year old, and she had taught herself to rely on her hearing, sight, and the sensitive area on the roof of her mouth.
Ember lowered herself into a crouch. She stalked towards a hare that was nibbling on some of the grass. Belly fur brushed the ground. The lioness sprinted out towards the rabbit, knocking it over with a swipe of a paw. Quickly she ended it's life. Unlike her pride mates, Ember didn't enjoy making others suffer as much as her pride. Perhaps it had to do with the stories she heard of her and her "brother" being born in Lexis. If she had a brother, why hadn't her mother brought him to Iris Pride too? Icefang never mentioned having a sibling. She shrugged it off before she glanced down at her kill. Picking it up in her jaws, she glanced towards the trees.
The uneasy feeling of being watched settled on her. The hare blocking the scent glands made her feel venerable as the glare of the sunlight made it difficult to see. She couldn't hear anything. The hunt had scared off any other creatures.
OOC: Eh..it's up.
