"Speech."Thoughts.Actions. Only a day or so had passed since the bloodbath at the Straight Bit though to him it seemed like a much longer time had passed since then. Some of the felines took alot more effort than he expected to kill and he traveled back with his surviving pack mates exhausted and aching from his wounds. He spent most of the time sleeping and waiting for his wounds to heal. After lazing about in the pack's territory he decided to explore the city out of boredom not really worrying about if he should still be resting or not. Argos began to question if he would be able to keep this up for long, the first time he killed a cougar he had some energy to spare but of course he should have expected to be tired after fighting off hordes of cougars, leopards, caracals and any other kind of cat you can think of.
His tongue hung out of mouth as he strolled down sidewalks in front of cages that once had many of the city's' residence captive. He felt very little pity for the animals that weren't lucky enough to escape from their cages. One of the doors to the cages kept a rotting corpse of an animal on display that was one of the unlucky ones that wasn't released or hadn't been able to escape. He stopped next to a bench and looked up at the sky. He was either suffering from heat stroke or something or his mind was toying with him again. He could see faces in the sky looking at him. It seemed to make him more angry than afraid. He then blamed those faces for the war starting and everything else that was happening to him and the other animals in the city.
"This is all just a game to you isn't it!" He started yelling at the seemingly amused faces in the sky. "You find pleasure in watching us die? You're sick. You hear me? Sick!" He yelled again not noticing the strange and fearful looks he received from the zoo's other visitors. (tried to kind of break the fourth wall, won't be surprised if I just made him look crazy) | |

Colt walks. Colt talks. Colt's thoughts.
Not being part of the whole canine versus feline ordeal, Colt was in tip top condition. He had no wounds, no aches and no hint of sickness. This didn't mean he didn't feel tired though, and like every other animal in Hexasol, he was hungry. The large male glanced around the areas that were caged in by metal fences. A sense of sadness and grief came over him as he thought about all the animals that didn't make it out of the zoo before their lack of food took their life. Colt held his large skull low to the ground, his plumy tail hanging loosely behind him. As he continued along the designated path, the scent of something rotten caught his nostrils off guard. Wrinkling his nose, he quickly discovered what had delivered such an ungodly whiff. In some of the enclosures, dead animals would be there. They were the unlucky ones.
Picking up the pace, Colt made his way away from the animal corpses and turning around, he noticed something on a bench. An even larger canine was perched on a seat, his eyes focused entirely on the sky above him. He could tell instantly that this dog was a male, and boy was he big. Colt had always thought of himself as quite a large animal but this male was much larger. He immediately came to the assumption of a Great Dane. The slender legs and large head gave it away.
Loud barking made Colt flinch. The Dane was talking to himself. The malamute tilted his head, an expression of confusion and curiosity plastered on his features. Inching closer to the male, he lowered his head. "Umm, who are you talking to? There's no one here." He spoke in a calm yet questioning tone. Colt wasn't usually a very curious dog but this wasn't something he saw everyday. This male was barking at the sky, he really did live up to the phrase 'barking mad'.

"Speech."Thoughts.Actions. In his mind the faces in the sky didn't say anything, which was probably a good thing since most likely a few lone cats and dogs already thought he was insane. The faces kept smiling and looking at him. If only he could get to them and teach them a lesson, but even if he could what would he do, bite them? Or maybe just sit on them, he though he was heavy enough to suffocate anyone. Or, if they were real they could have been ghosts, you can't hurt an apportion can you? In a vain attempt to try to get to them he balanced himself on his hind legs for a few minutes and a small growl emitted from his throat.
He suddenly heard a voice next to him. For some reason he thought that one of the faces that only he was able to see momentarily had come closer to mock him he looked next to him letting out another small growl. Nope, it was just a loner brave enough to see if Argos had completely lost his mind. "Sorry about that." He said apologetically and looked back up at the sky. The illusion was gone and he once again realized how idiotic he must have looked. "You probably won't believe me if I told you. Let's just say my last experience with humans wasn't a pleasant one."
He got on the ground and turned his attention back to the stranger. "I'm not crazy. I still have have my sanity, it's just been tampered with. But I guess for some being sane isn't always popular."

Colt walks. Colt talks. Colt's thoughts.
The large male watched with questioning hazel eyes as the even larger male in front of him continued to bark insults at the sky. Colt glanced upwards to see if he could see what the Great Dane was seeing but no, all he saw was blue sky and clouds. It didn't take long though after saying what he wanted to say that the male stopped his barking and turned around to look at Colt. "Sorry about that." The Alaskan Malamute was quick to shake his head. The Dane had no need to apologize for what he had done, to him, he had some reason in doing what he did and it's not like it was hurting anybody.
"You probably won't believe me if I told you. Let's just say my last experience with humans wasn't a pleasant one." Colt's large skull tilted to the side slightly. He wondered what had happened to such a hefty dog that made him shout and howl at the clouds. Colt had no previous experience with humans, probably because he was sure all of them had been killed before the time he was born. "I'm not crazy. I still have have my sanity, it's just been tampered with. But I guess for some being sane isn't always popular." A gentle chuckle escaped the wolf-like canine as he lowered his rear and sat down a few inches away from the harlequin Great Dane.
"Don't worry about it. I'm sure there was a perfectly logical reason as to why you found it necessary to bark at the sky." Colt spoke in a deep tone, his lips raised in a sort of smile expression. "Sometimes a random outburst is all you need." He added ending on a chuckle. His hazel eyes drifted away from the sky and back on to the big male. "Sanity's too mainstream now anyways." He spoke in a gentle and slightly quieter tone than before. He thought about introducing himself but he resisted. It was unlikely that these two would see each other again, most animals out here only spent a week without the company of an acquaintance before forgetting their name.

"Speech." Thoughts. Actions.
There was only one small incident among a few of his pack mates where he made himself look insane. He was flailing on the ground and growling as if he were being attacked and three dogs who were either walking in his general direction or wanted to talk to him at first avoided him every time they saw him. He couldn't tell if they told the rest of the pack that there was an insane dog in their midst even though there were most likely other canines more insane than him.
"Don't worry about it. I'm sure there was a perfectly logical reason as to why you found it necessary to bark at the sky."
Argos sort of shrugged, at least this canine seemed more open minded about his condition, for now at least.
"Sometimes a random outburst is all you need."
"Yeah, especially if you involve your self in a war." Even after he left his owner behind he had the undeniable urge to keep fighting against felines. He tried not to get too attached to his pack mates since some of them would die, Argos expected to die from old age. He bent his head down enough for the smaller dog to see the scar at the top of his head. "My owner gave me away to some kind of lab and they cut me open. One moment I can see everything normally, the next I'm seeing pink flying manatees." He lifted his head and sighed. "I never found out why they did it. But humans did do some stupid and questionable things when they were still around."

Colt walks. Colt talks. Colt's thoughts.
Colt wasn't usually a nosy dog but something about this male made him curious and want to know more about his past. He refused to lower his rear to the ground, too mentally involved with the Great Dane in front of him. The Alaskan Malamute had his head tilted to his left, an expression of eagerness on his face. Yeah so far this boy seemed a bit... odd but so? People were too judgmental these days.
"Yeah, especially if you involve your self in a war."
Colt's upright ears twitched at the sound of the large dog's voice. His tone was deep, adding to his slightly intimidating appearance. Colt wasn't easily intimidated but when standing in front of a dog as big as this, it was hard not to be a little nervous. Colt instantly began thinking about the war between the Tempest canines and the Iris felines. Not being part of any pack, the male couldn't really take a side but instinctively he would defend any canine against a feline that he didn't know. Colt nodded his head at the Dane's response, his amber eyes focused eagerly on him.
It was then that the black and white dog lowered his skull, revealing a long scar on his head. "My owner gave me away to some kind of lab and they cut me open. One moment I can see everything normally, the next I'm seeing pink flying manatees." Colt took a minute to observe the scar and as the dog explained it, his curiosity grew. "I never found out why they did it. But humans did do some stupid and questionable things when they were still around."
Colt thought about what the Dane said and nodded his head. He hadn't had much experience humans but what he had witnessed in his life didn't seem so questionable and confusing. Then again he was young and its doubted that he really took much notice of what his owner did. "Woah, that must have been a terrible experience for you. When the humans did that to you I mean." The grey dog spoke softly but it was obvious to anyone that he sounded intrigued. "But at least there gone now so they can't do crazy stuff like that to any more dogs." He added, trying to look on the bright side of things.
