Athena was what you would call lost. The young cat had been trying to make her way back to Lexis territory, but she got terribly lost. Instead of heading in the right direction, she went the complete wrong way and now she was scared, cold, lost, and miserable. It was already early evening, it was windy and cold and she definitely didn’t want to travel at night, so she needed to find somewhere to camp and fast. Sighing, she let her feet slowly drag her forward.
After what seemed like forever of traveling, and the sun dipping down a little further in the sky, Athena looked up, and some big human contraption was within sight. She didn’t know what it was, but she let her curiosity get the best of her and she walked towards it. There would probably be a place for her to camp here, and if there wasn’t one, she would make one. She would definitely make her way back to Lexis in the morning, but for tonight this would be her home. Hopefully nothing would try to eat her here, though…
Arriving at the gates, she immediately stuck her nose into the ground and began smelling every inch of the ground that she could cover. Dogs, cats, and even stale traces of what she assumed to be human filled her nose. Here, she could be happy, as long as no one tried to bug her. The place was sort of closed in and she was surrounded by the inventions of the humans she was so curious about.
In the middle of this big human place, there was this circular thingy-ma-bob that stretched high into the sky, farther than Athena could even see. It made her nervous, but she still couldn’t help but walk up to it. She assumed that at one point of time, it moved or did something, but now with the humans long gone, all it did was sit there. There were a bunch of these little cart things hanging all over the place. One though, was sitting a bit lower down then the other ones. Without even thinking about it, she leaped into it; the force of her jump wasn’t strong enough to move it much, though, so it only gave a little shake. After the initial scare of the shake was over, she began to sniff around more. This was a nice place; she decided this was going to be where she spent her night.

Where the hell was Brandon? Or his other brother's for that matter!? Why hadn't they come to find him yet? Frantically, the tiny silver tabby swung his head from left to right in a desperate attempt to locate or orientate himself at least. He was only had barely turned four weeks old, his little body shaking with the biting wind slicing through his attractive yet bedraggled fur. The evening was sneaking into the strange 'human' place that he and his family had been staying near. When his mother had carried them to their new den they had passed it earlier, and Aspell remembered seeing the unfamiliar alien metal contraptions that rose up high into the sky. He crouched below a some kind of small human-made building, but it was cramped, damp and cold. He had no intention of staying beneath the ticket booth for any longer than he had to, but he was scared. Aspell wouldn't admit it of course, not even to himself, not really.
You might be wondering how the month old runt of the litter had ended up in such a dire situation? Well, it had started off as a game with the siblings.. as it always seems to. Brandon, Chat and Atlas had suggested playing hide and seek. The three bigger bolder kitten's had tussled and play fought each other until the novelty simply wore off, and they were bored. The problem was they need four players, and now way were they letting either of their sisters join in! So who was left; the runt, Aspell, the last brother. After much teasing, begging, and batting the tiny tabby relented. Let's be honest there wasn't much else around here to do, and so Asp agreed to go hide. It was from there that everything went wrong, you see Aspell is a very thorough cat. He won't do anything without putting all his effort into something and so when someone says 'go hide', he isn't likely to lean behind a tree.
Before he knew what he was doing, Aspell had ended up where he was now. Purrrfect he had thought, they'll never find and for once.. i'll be the winner! The problem was, he wasn't sure whether to come out of hiding or not and after almost two hours of laying in wait the little kitten was really starting to get worried. His parents hadn't been told of their little escapade and now the month old feline could feel his miniature heart beat just that little bit faster. He pricked his ears forward, and strained his eyes when suddenly the figure of a cat appeared in the distance. A tabby, like Shyster - his mother! In the gathering dark, it was easy for a little chap to make a simple mistake and without giving his safety a second thought Aspell shout out from beneath the booth and galloped over to his 'mother'.
By the time he realised he had absolutely no idea who this cat actually was, it was too late to stop and hide. She had hopped inside one of the odd carriage-looking things, but he had been calling ''Mother, Mother is that you? Oh Mother thank goodness-" and so on. However as he watched her from inside the contraption, Aspell took an unsure step backwards. The little kitten felt his fur ripple along his spine and stand up on end, his small bottlebrush tail waved high in the air like a flagpole and his claws sunk into the mud beneath him. Aspell had never ever encountered any other feline other than his family and the idea of meeting a strange, lone cat suddenly terrified him. His green eyes widened fearfully, and he choked out "Wh-who are y-you?"

Athena had only been exploring for a few mere seconds before she was startled by a cry from behind her. She jumped up in the air and flipped to face the intruder and mirrored his position; her fur was standing up along her spine, her tail was raised high in the air, and her back was arched, she felt her heart beating a mile a minute. It seemed, though, that the thing that scared her was just a little fuzz ball of fur. Still, she was on edge, and she didn’t let her fur lay flat. Even though, this…thing, in front of her was cute and tiny, it probably had really sharp claws and teeth and she wasn’t going to let her guard down. She wasn’t going to let this little kitten know that she was frightened. “W-who are you?” the words came out soft, but loud enough so that the kit could hear; she was glad there was only a tiny stutter. “Y-you’re the o-one who snuck up on m-me…” she trailed off and let her feet carry her backwards until there was nowhere left to go. She felt her backside bump into the cold glass and she shivered and moved a pace forward.
The she-cat silently hoped that the kitten would just go away. She really didn’t like other people, especially ones that she had never met before; ones that liked to sneak up on her when she had all over her attention focused on the human contraption that she was standing in. Athena had imagined her evening was going to be a fun one filled with a lot of exploring, smelling new scents, seeing new human things, and the most important thing of all, she thought she was going to do all these things alone with little gray things scaring her half to death.
No matter what, though, now her night was ruined. She didn’t know how long she had been standing there, but the kitten still hadn’t said anything. That was a good thing. If he began to talk, she wouldn’t know how to respond, what to say. Social situations were definitely not a piece of cake in her book. To top it off, she was already immensely nervous from the freight he had given her. Now if only that little thing would go away, she would be able to curl herself up in a ball and talk her nerves away. If only, if only…

Aspell quivered as he stood in the unrelenting wind, when suddenly he felt the first large drops of rain splash down onto his little nose. He sniffled and flattened his ears in discomfort, his mood was deteriorating rapidly. He had been roped into playing this ridiculous game, and now it had backfired on him completely. He hadn't the faintest idea as to how to navigate his way back home, and the wind was still whipping him evilly. The only plus was that the rain had been short-lived, as the dark clouds were seemingly rolling silently away from the Theme Park. This didn't stop the darkness however, which had settled quickly. Lucky cats could see in the dark, he supposed yet when he glanced over his shoulder it was almost as if the shadows were dancing behind him in an eery unnerving manner.
The month old kitten blinked, and took a deep breath. Ok he was smaller than this feline but he was irritated and cold. Aspell got enough of being pushed, shoved and told what to do by his siblings. No now was not the time to be the pathetic, tiresome runt of the litter, not for the moment anyway. So his large willow-green eyes hardened coldly when, instead of replying, she repeated his own question. Curling his lip, he twitched his tail in irritation and this time he spoke without any hint of hesitation. "I asked you first, didn't I?" He watched her intently, though he couldn't stop his body from shaking in the harsh wind, he stood very still. "Well, for one I didn't sneak up on anybody! I thought you were somebody else.. and- well yeah.. I'm freezing!"
Aspell glared at the cat, she hadn't even bothered to invite him out of the cold! His impression of the feline was less than desirable, and despite his young age Aspell wasn't going to beat about the bush.
(( completee! sorry it's so small but i had about ten minutes to write it ))

Athena watched as the tiny kitten shook and shivered in the wind. If this had been another life where Athena was a completely different cat with a completely different outlook on life and a kind and caring and definitely not nervous personality, she would have invited the helpless, tiny bag of bones into this cart with her where it was at least a little bit warm. Sadly, though, Athena was petrified of this little thing and she definitely didn’t want it anywhere near her, so, unless he jumped into the human contraption on his own, which the she-cat hoped he didn’t, he was stuck out in that, what Athena assumed to be cold, rain. She still found it somewhere inside her body to be sorry for that little thing, though.
The cat winced as the other feline spoke. Even though he had a young, small voice, it was still fierce and didn’t help make any of Athena’s nerves go away. If anything, it made her want him to go away even more. Maybe if he had been a little nicer or something, anything but rude, maybe Athena would have asked him to come out of the rain and into her little hide away. If he was going to be mean and scary (at least scary to Athena) she would rather him freeze and stand out in the rain, even if he did look really helpless.
She closed her eyes and took a deep breathe. Arguing probably wasn’t a very good idea, but, just as she was irritating him, he was irritating her, and the irritation sparked just a bit more than her nervousness. So, even though she knew it wasn’t a good idea, she decided to respond sarcastically to the cat. In the strongest voice she could manage, which was still pretty weak, she said, “Oh yeah, I forgot, ju-just because some random kitten who snuck up on me asked who I was first, I have to respond first.” Athena kept her eyes closed through her words, but opened them after she closed her mouth. “And I-I’m freezing, t-too.” she said as she averted her eyes from the kitten. Athena found it much harder to talk when she was looking straight at someone.
