There was nothing in sight, but blinding whiteness from the snow as the sun reflected off of it. A black and white sibarian husky trudged through the snow, her paws trailing paw prints into the snow with a soft 'crunch' as each pad landed into the white cusioned snow. Her tail waged lazily behind her, as blue and brown eyes looked around the landscape for something to do. Her lean body dodged the trees as she made her way up to the top of the mountain.
Her bordum was getting the best of her when a little rabbit ran infront of her. When it ran by she hatled quickly, head snapping at the quick movement. Her adrenaline rising at the need of the chase, a loud bark escaped her as she pushed herself into a run. The bunny's ear's shot back, when it gave a backword glance its eyes widened as it took in the dog's form. The bunny screamed as it tried to go faster through the snow, trying to find a hole or sancuary of some sort. As if on cue the dog leapt in air and landed with its paws crushing down the rabbit, the pair tumbled in the snow, a ledge just a few feet away from them, not paying attention she grabbed the rabbit by the scruff and leapt without looking where she was going, but unfortunetly it was right off the ledge. Dropping the rabbit as she fell, her paws moving constently as if trying to stay in the air as long as she could.
She hit a lower ledge of the mounting with a 'huff' the impact of the landing made her loose her breath, a few minuts later she woke up with her ribs and feet screaming in pain. She grumbled to herself at her stupidness. She forced her limbs to push her weight in a sitting position, her eyes skanning the area, but there was no one she could go..Fear then took her, her heart started to hammer against her chest. She barked several times, her voals echoing through the mountains, after a couple of minuts she mixed it up with howls. Hoping to get the attention of another creature.

Colt walks. Colt talks. Colt's thoughts.
If it wasn't for the male's dense coat, he would surely be freezing. Winter was a hard time for any creature, canine or feline. Even the largest of animals would find it difficult to cope this time of year. As the male breathed, a plume of white air escaped his jaws. His heavy paws dented the snow as he moved, leaving large prints where he had ventured. The sky was white, much like the ground beneath his feet. One could easily get lost in a place like this. Colt moved quickly, making sure to keep his wits about him. The mountains where a treacherous place, especially in the heart of Winter.
Every few moments, Colt sniffed the air, eager to catch the scent of something interesting. He had been patrolling the mountains for about twenty minutes in total and so far, all he had detected was the tiny prints of a rodent but it had long since passed. It was then that he his ears twitched, attracted to the sound of a thud not too far away. Taking a deep breath, Colt wondered if he should investigate. It was when he heard the high-pitched howls of a canine in pain that he realized he should.
Picking up the pace, Colt made his way towards the sound at a relatively steady pace. As he got closer, the male noticed that the calls were coming from a female. He turned around a rock corner, noticing something dark in the snow. The figure of another canine quickly came in to view and he slowed down. He walked over to the dog, obviously she was in pain. The large ditch in the snow quickly made it clear that she had fallen - a constant danger in a place like this. "Can you walk?" Colt didn't see the point in asking if she was okay, it was obvious she wasn't and he could tell what had happened. He just went straight to the point. His amber eyes watched the dog closely, keeping a look out for any noticeable wounds.

It was getting darker and it seemed like there would be no help for her. She gave another dog howl, hoping that someone would just hear it, but she wasn’t going to expect anything. She took a breath and shook her head, “It could be worse.” She said to herself, her voice soft and optimistic as the formed on her tongue, her vocals almost sounding musical. A soft crunch from ontop of the mountain that she had just fallen off of made her head snap, ears pricked forward waiting to see if it was someone or just her. Sitting there waiting for a little longer to see if what she heard was in fact another dog, but there was no indecation that there was. Disapointed she lowered herself to the ground once again, her front paw hurting once the snow touched it. She clenched her teeth, trying to hide the pain, but it was easily seen in her eyes. When she inhaled another deep breath, the scent of blood filled her nostrils. Turning her head towards the scent she noticed the dead white rabbit. Stretching herself out, her teeth grabbed the foot, and dragged it closer to her. She smiled, “Well, at least you came down with me.” She chuckled to herself at the thought of falling and the rabbit up there. With that thought she tore at the rabbit’s stomach, hot sticky blood poured into her mouth as she pulled the flesh apart.
‘Can you walk?’
The sound was masculin and determined in a way. She looked up from her small meal, her colored eyes met with his. She studied him as she tried to determine whether or not he was really there. Shaking her head once again she licked her lips and smiled at him, “Ummm, yea I think I can.” She knew her front paw was sprained, but she didn’t want to look too volnerable to the male. She rose herself back into a sitting position, trying to hide the pain in her front paw. Looking up at him, she tried to make his face out, but she couldn’t really see him all that well. In desperation of getting off the little ledge that she was now on, she tried to climb up, but when she was halfway there is fell backwards and landed on her back. Her eyes narrowed as a sigh escaped her lips. She knew that the only way to get off was if he could help her, maybe if she ran up and he grab her and pull her up or something like that. ‘blagh! Why couldn’t I have just paid attention to where I was going!’ she yelled to herself in her head.

Colt's eager hazel eyes were focused entirely on the female in front of him. From this distance he could already tell she was significantly smaller than himself. As he took a few paw steps closer he could tell that her fur was much darker than his however and her eyes, there was something about her eyes. It was unusual to see a canine now with different colored eyes, a rare beauty in his books.
The female confirmed she could walk and Colt simply nodded. Again he took a few more steps towards her but he made sure to remain away from the edge. After all, he didn't want to make the same mistake she had made. She was only a few feet below but still, it was a fall he didn't want to make.
Watching the female attempt to scramble up from the little ledge, Colt realized that she wasn't going to be able to do this alone. Taking a deep breath, he approached the edge cautiously, being careful which individual paw. He observed the drop and nodded his head. He should be able to climb up if he hopped down. He carefully jumped down, making sure he landed a short distance away from the female, but not too far away that he risked falling even further or landing awkwardly.
Taking a few steps so he was right up against the wall, he turned to look at the husky. "Hop on my back. From there you should be able to climb up." Colt was a large dog so he was almost certain he would be able to handle to weight of a smaller canine for a few seconds. It wasn't like he was going to carry her up the rock face, he was just offering a boost up.

She could feel his eyes on her, and she looked up at his face too try and really get a look at him, his coat was lighter, but he had almost the same markings as her, his build was perfect, his muscles nicely framing a nice body. His eyes were a light brown, almost like brown sugar with a dab of honey in his irises. She gave him a small smile as her colored eyes swept over his frame again.
When he nodded she barked a low and girly thanks, as if that would say it all, but she knew she would be thanking him again when she gets off the little ledge. When he walked towards her she could see the hesitation. In reaction she tilted her head to the side as she tried to figure out his strategy on getting her out.
She knew she would probably make a fool of herself when she tried to get back up on her own, but she just fell back down. Stealing a glance back at the dog, hoping he didn’t think she was a wimp or anything, not that it would be the first time someone had to help her with something. Many canines think she is a damsel in distress or just very fragile, either way she didn’t know if those comments were a good thing or a bad thing. The next thing she knew the dog was at her side, she looked at him bewildered that he had made it down to the ledge without hurting himself, but then again he was longer then she was.
"Hop on my back. From there you should be able to climb up."
His voice echoed in her ears. “You want me to jump on you back? Are you sure that's sanitary?”She asked tilting her head once again. After a couple of minutes she knew he was serious, taking a deep breath she pounced onto his back, trying not to hurt him. When all her fours was balancing themselves on his back, she attempted again to escape the ledge, but this time her front paws dug into the edge of the ledge, her back paws digging into the side of it trying to lift herself up. Within a couple of seconds on trying to get on top it finally paid off, she lifted herself from the edge and limped to the nearest tree which was five feet away from the ledge. Her breathing was rough as she tried to catch it.

Colt walks. Colt talks. Colt's thoughts.
The large male remained as still as he could as he waited for the female beside him to make her way safely up to the top and off this treacherous mountain edge. He breathed deeply, ready for the wait of her to be placed on top of him. She was a small dog so Cold didn't expect her to be too heavy for him to manage but he still wanted to prepare himself. He also didn't want to come across as a weak male.
The Alaskan Malamute rolled his hazel eyes as the husky questioned how sanitary his method was. He wanted to bark out that sanitation had nothing to do with her safety and security. What was the worst thing that could happen having another dog on his back? He didn't want to appear rude or intolerant so he kept his mouth shut and waited for the female to move. Feeling her place her paws on his back instantly made him put all of his wait on to her haunches, making himself as sturdy as possible, after all he didn't want her to fall. Pushing up slowly, he made a gentle sigh of relief as the weight lifted from his shoulders.
Panting steadily, he put all of his weight on his rear legs and got ready to pounce. Taking a deep breath he sprang forward, allowing his front paws claw in to the snow above him. His rear legs managed to scramble themselves up and once he was certain he was up, he made his way carefully over to the tired husky. He held his head low and stood a few feet away from the other canine. He watched her closely, trying to identify any obvious injuries but from what he could see, there was nothing that seriously worried him. "Are you in any pain at all?" He questioned out of both concern and courtesy. He wanted to make sure this dog was fit enough to hunt and fend for herself before he left.
