A gentle yawn escaped the male's jaws as she made his way towards the lake. He had been asleep for most of the morning, keeping himself hidden away under a cluster of reeds and bushes. He didn't usually sleep by the lake, it was just the last place he was the previous day. He was more of a 'sleep where he drops' kind of guy, not really having one permanent bed.
As he reached the water's edge, Bandit stretched out his long limbs and let a second yawn leave his throat. Pulling himself back together, the slender male glanced at his reflection in the water and grinned proudly to himself. Bandit is quite a vain canine who insists on having his fur neat and spotless. He nodded to himself before shaking out his fur.
Eventually the four year old Borzoi pulled his attention away from his reflection and began to wander around the water's edge. All the boy needed now was a drink. Thankfully he wasn't hungry seeing as he had managed to catch himself a nice rabbit a day ago. He began to scan the area, looking for an ideal spot to take a drink. He wanted a spot that had few weeds and where he didn't have to bend down too far. Oh yes, Bandit was very precise about quite a lot of things.
"Ah, this looks good." The male spoke to himself with a sense of satisfaction. He found what he presumed to be the 'perfect spot' and lowered his head to take a sip. "Nothing like a cool mouth to get your ready for the day." He continued to talk to himself between sips, he must have seemed somewhat crazy to most passers by.
After he felt his thirst was quenched, Bandit backed away from the lake's edge and lowered his rear in a soft patch of grass. Sighing contently, he pondered about what he could do today. Maybe he could go for a long walk, or tease a few pups. Or maybe he could even bag himself a pretty young female. A wry grin tugged at the male's features as he thought about that. It had been a while since he had had some fun with a gal. A silent chuckle escaped Bandit's mouth as he continued to think about the possibilities for the day.

It was nearly midday, and, thirsty, she head towards the nearby lake for a drink. To put on a show for any males nearby, she tilted her head just right, so that the light caught her eyes and light them up, an almost coy smile on her pretty face. She let her hips go loose and allowed them to sway as she walked, her tail following suit. A memory made her ear twitch with annoyance, but she held herself as if nothing unduly worrying had crossed her mind. There was nothing that ruined good looks like a pout, or a frown of concentration. That is, unless she meant to do so. The only expressions that looked good naturally, in her mind, were smiles.
A few days before, a Jack Russel terrier who had smelled strongly of the Lexis Tribe had asked if she wanted to come home with him and make some friends in his tribe. The Siberian Husky had been inwardly horrified. A tribe? Not for all the meat in Hexasol would she settle down there. And it was unthinkable that this tiny dog was possibly flirting with her - or, worse still, maybe he had guessed her age and had been trying to take her home with him so that she could be looked after - like a lost puppy! Admittedly, she was only just almost nine months - but in her mind, that meant she was an adult, and therefore she deserved to be treated as such. After all, no mere puppy would have survived the long trek to Hexasol and the time she had spent here!
Why that recent memory was haunting her right at this moment, she couldn't guess. Maybe she feared that someone else would treat her like a puppy instead of a grown bitch. No. The idea is unthinkable. What male in his right mind would think such a thing, with you as pretty as a picture? Honestly! Self-flattery always did the trick with the attractive female, especially when it was mostly true. Her ego repuffed, Aurora continued to waltz down to the lake's edge, to find a handsome male - a tall, handsome male with long fur, to boot - lapping at the water. Hidden behind a few trees and bushes, she watched as he finished his drink and drew away from the edge of the lake. Continuing her swaggering walk, she pretended not to have noticed him as she delicately drank her fill.
Refreshed, she turned, and her face lit up with just the right amount of surprise and pleasure when she saw the male. Never one to fawn over another creature, she slowly licked a few remaining drops of water from her lips and pranced slowly towards him. "Hello, sir! How are you today?" She called cheerily, the picture of an innocent, beautiful young bitch who believed in love.

The male's head was still trying to figure out what he would do today, he had plenty of ideas. He could go for a hunt, but then again he had eaten recently. He could even find some little pups to toy with. Or maybe, just maybe he would come across a pretty young female who wanted a good time. He grinned wryly to himself and his tail was almost wagging behind him. Glancing back down at his fur, he gave his chest a few more licks to try and flatten out the little strands that were sticking out. Bandit was the kind of dog who took pride in his appearance and he wasn't going to let a few persistent hairs ruin it for him.
Bandit hadn't been waiting for very long until something interesting caught his eye. It was almost as if she came along right on time. His mind was instantly made up when he lay eyes on her for the first time. A young husky female approached the lake in front of him. She was a pretty little thing. Although he was some distance away, the crystal clear water lit up her individually coloured eyes, making her seem mature but youthful in a way. The young male couldn't help but grin as he watched from a distance.
Instinctively, the Borzoi sprang to his feet with grace as he noticed the husky prance towards him. "Right on cue." He couldn't help but flash a quick grin to himself before looking up at the female in front of him. She moved with a certain grace and innocence, a feature quite attractive in a female. Lowering his head slightly, he gazed up at her, his deep brown eyes focused entirely on her. Now, should he play it smooth or should he go for full out flirting? "Well I must say my day has lightened up now that you've come along." He lifted his head slowly, trying to come across as charming but not exactly desperate. "What brings you to the lake, little miss?" He asked politely, his tone was welcoming and confident.

He was long-limbed and graceful, with dark, captivating brown eyes. He was the type of dog that many bitches dreamed about, really. As her eyes scanned the length of his body, she noticed that there was barely a hair out of place on his coat. Indeed, she could not have chosen a better time to decide that she needed a drink. Watching as he leaped to his paws in one fluid movement, she swaggered closer, until they were a little less than a metre apart. Then, the male spoke, looking up into her eyes from a lowered head, his tone enthralling; it was enough to make an inexperienced female blush. She, however, was not one of those, she simply smiled coyly at him, waiting for him to say something, silently inviting him to be the first to speak.
His actual words, however, were something different altogether: flattering, and suggesting that he'd had nothing to do until she had come along. Well, she couldn't judge that; she was exactly the same, bored with nothing to occupy her on such a pleasant day. Besides, what did it matter? He was an attractive male, and he seemed to feel that she wasn't exactly ugly, either - which meant that they should get along quite nicely. Turning her attention back to the Borzoi as he spoke again, she fixed her different coloured eyes on his face, listening intently. She'd picked up lots of little tidbits over the last month about what males liked: one of these was to have a female listen to him. Well, she would try that trick now, do an experiment of sorts. And if it worked, that was good, but if it didn't, she knew not to use it again. It was as simple as that.
"What brings you to the lake, little miss?"
The question was politely phrased, his tone telling her that she was quite welcome here. She could tell that he wasn't shy, either; in, fact, quite the opposite. Her smile widening, the Siberian husky winked with her blue eye and replied, her voice light and cheerful, "Nothing much, really. Hoping that some good-looking dog such as yourself would appear, really. And you did." She glanced at him sidelong, her smile more flirtatious now. "Oh, but I'm being rude," she laughed. "I haven't even introduced myself. I'm Aurora." Gazing up at him from half-lidded eyes, she wondered what kind of response he would give.

Bandit walks. Bandit talks. Bandit's thoughts.
The male watched the female in front of him with curiosity. As she got closer, her oddly coloured eyes became more obvious. Finding some one with different eyes was a unique find for Bandit. He had only been with one other female that had eyes like the husky in front of him and he had to admit, this girl was more attractive. The other female was smaller and in all honesty, she looked a bit scruffy. He had no idea what breed she was, probably just a mutt. He shivered at the memory of being with that bitch. She wasn't one of his favored 'acquaintances'.
Shaking the memories from his mind, the Borzoi focused back on to the pretty little husky before him. She stood with confidence, a fine quality in a female. And she was looking at him with intent eyes. Her blue eye winked and Bandit couldn't help but grin back. His grin grew even larger as she complimented him. Things were going well, for now at least. The husky's smile was growing ever more flirtatious now and the male instinctively winked back.
Aurora. That was a nice name. It seemed mature for a young canine like herself, but he liked it. "Well Aurora, if that's the case, I'm glad our paths crossed." He felt a sense of pride as he spoke. The female seemed in no rush to leave so his efforts must have been getting him somewhere. And with her flirtatious body language, his charm must have had quite an effect on her. Or that's what he would like to think. "Everyone just calls me Bandit." He introduced himself whilst lifting his head slightly. Bandit wasn't his birth name but he was proud of it. He had earned his name and he intended to keep it.
Bandit lowered his head slightly after telling the red husky his name. His plumy tail began to wag at a steady pace behind him and a small cloud of white steam would leave his nostrils whenever he breathed. It was the hear of Winter now and despite having a thick white coat, the cold still got to him and the occasional shiver traveled down his long spine.

He was doubtlessly more experienced in flirting and what came after it than she was, but she could keep up with him, she was sure. Back with her family, she'd known what to say to get her sister out of trouble with her father, and she'd always been able to argue with any of her brothers until they'd been forced to agree with her. In short, she had a way with words. It had come in handy when she'd first met a male while in Hexasol; a young greyhound had come across her and had started flirting with her. She'd decided after that experience that she liked flirting very much, and if she could take advantage of her looks, then why not make sure she had a handsome dog to keep her company when she wanted it?
The Siberian Husky listened as he spoke once more, her coy smile reaching her eyes and making them shine with amusement. "So am I. You seem to make up for all the other males I've ever met. They seemed to. . . Lack something, which you do not." She let her bushy tail wag slowly, almost in time with the autumn breeze. The other canine gave her his name, and she had to admit it suited him; it was a roguish name for so plucky a male. Fitting indeed. "With a name such as that, Bandit, I should think that I ought to be wary of you," she remarked teasingly, her tail wagging a little faster now. "It does suit you, though, if I may be so bold as to say such a thing."
The young bitch let a shiver of delight travel through her, her gaze locked on the Borzoi's face. This was so much fun! She certainly was glad that she had come here, rather than being stuck with her family, being forced to bow to the will of her father and brothers. That life was not and had never been for her; this, she felt, was her true calling. There was no-one to tell her what to do, no one to limit or undermine her in any way. She was as free as a bird, to flirt with good-looking dogs and live her life to the fullest.
OOC;; Sorry this took so long, and that it's so short! D8
