They tried to grip hold but he just kept slipping and sliding all over the place; this was all fun and games though. Aslan yipped as he raced over the ice in circles, sliding everywhere and occasionally falling on his stomach and then spent plenty of time getting back up on his feet. "Nine!" he mused, counting the times he had fallen down as if it were a game and he was going to win. For a moment he found his grounds and stood still on the ice; it was thick and he was sure he wouldn't fall through. A second later he was off running again until he got enough momentum so he could just glide.
"Ten!" Aslan yipped and popped out of the pile of snow he had slid himself into. He shook as much snowflakes from his fur; though it was in vain as it was still currently snowing, and went to step back on the ice. He peered down and sniffed the ice, cold air was all that entered his nose. He could see a bit of his blurry reflection in the thinnest parts of the frozen lake and when he caught a blur of himself he licked the ice. He tongue became stuck. "EH? Whuat ith thiss?"" he mumbled, a bit panicked. He tried pulling away but just whined when he felt the pain. It was cold and dry and he didn't like it.
Aslan wriggled around and began to pant. The heat of his breath was what saved him. After a moment of breath on where his tongue had become stuck it came unstuck. A growl escaped his mouth and he pawed at the ice, as if scolding it. It didn't take him long to get back to his game of running around and sliding on the ice.
"Eleven!" Aslan laughed as he fell once again and then became silent. "Eleven? Eleven? Why is it called that? Hmm?" he pondered to himself as he sat on his rump, eyes gazing out over the rest of the lake. "Why isn't eleven pronounced onety one? he asked out loud and looked around, as if someone was going to come forward and answer his question.

Curiosity came over the spotted female as she stared at the fluffy dog slipping and sliding across the ice. She'd been watching him for a short time now, and had witnessed the male get his tongue stuck, and un-stuck, to the icy lake. He seemed to be talking to himself, and counting the times he'd lost his grip on the slick surface. She giggled silently, so he wouldn't catch her. "What an amusing canine," she thought to herself happily. She always watched strangers, it was the only way for her to get to know her peers safely in Hexasol. Soon, the chow mix asked why the number eleven was pronounced the way it was, which puzzled her. Harmony had never thought of questioning the way their language was, it was unheard of. She began to whisper the word eleven to herself repeatedly, realizing that it was a strange word. Wanting to learn more from the wise beast, she ventured closer to the lake, just inches from revealing her hiding place. Harmony gradually lowered her body to a sitting position, but was unprepared for the freezing precipitation awaiting her rump. She jumped up in the air out of shock, and began to shake her coat thoroughly. Soon after stopping, she realized what a commotion she had just caused, and turned to try and slink away from the situation. If the male caught her spying on him, he may become hostile. She was only a stranger, after all, and how on earth could she explain herself? She let out a huff of air, deciding to just get the confrontation over with. Though the odds were against her, she put on a brave face and ventured out onto the frozen water. "Ehrm, hello." she said softly, shying away from looking at the stranger's face. "My name is Harmony, please forgive me if my presence is interrupting your plans. I don't mean to intrude." The eleven month old was socially backward, and was afraid of meeting new faces. Digging her claws down into the ice so she wouldn't get injured, Harmony braced herself for the worst. ` w o r d s; 359 ` t a g s; Aslan ` n o t e s; I don't really like this post, and I should've done better. I'm not used to writing with such a shy character, so hopefully the next post won't be as bad. c:

As snow began to fall from the sky once again he gave an excited yip. His large tail swished back and forth atop his back and his eyes looked around excitedly. Soon there was a thin blanket of snow stuck to the outer layer of his thick coat, making him look light than he was. With one swift shake he sent all the flakes to the ground where they would stick to the cold frozen water. The ice looked softer now, with the snow starting to cover it and he could no longer see much of his reflection, not even a blur.
Aslan's ears perked up when he heard the distant sound of another animal. He turned his head to the side nonchalantly and the other being came into view. It was a spotted canine, long and lean and by her scent he could tell she was indeed female. Her body was long and lean but seemed slightly awkward in some places, not grown up he guessed, though this was something only him would notice. Her coat was short and white, decorated with deep brown spots and her eyes were a beautiful golden. Aslan smiled a bit. He watched as she looked shocked at the coldness that had just met her backside and he shook his head. "One does not just simple challenge the white blanket." he mumbled to himself and took a step forward, taking in more of her scent as the wind sent it his way.
His ears stayed facing forward as the stranger stepped onto the ice. "Harmony." he repeated with a slight nod after she spoke. He moved closer so he was in front of her and then sat. The ice was a bit cold but with such a fluffy tail and long fur it wasn't that big of a deal for him. He had experienced colder. "It is a joy to meet you, Harmony. You did not interrupt, I wasn't really doing anything but moogling." Moogling wasn't even a word he just used it because it sounded right. "Ah, excuse my manners m'lady, I am Aslan." He grinned and gave another nod, his tail swishing ever so lightly, sending snow flying around the sides of him.
