"Speech"
A crystal blue eye stared out from the dead brambles of the vegetation that once surrounded the side of the lake. Across from here stood a hill to lead into another area of the country as Icefang's sleek ivory coat kept her concealed in winter. Sadly, the lioness was not built for this weather. With her short, coarse fur she was reminded every moment of the harsh winters she had survived. White puffs of her breath made a smoky haze in front of her muzzle as she padded to the edge of the lake. A powerful was placed upon the ice as she raked her claws upon the surface. She was thirsty and with the freezing temperatures at night, it was best to get a drink in the daytime. When she would be able to stand the temperatures without much shivering.
Icefang growled as she ate a few mouthful of snow to try and obtain some water as the cold substance melted on her tongue. It wouldn't be long before she would be stuck in Iris Pride as an elder. She was a few years away from being ten years old and still without a mate. As much as she would hate to admit it, without a mate she would struggle as she got older. Amoraq had disappeared and so had Zodac. Both the male tigers she had gotten close to only to be rejected by their absence. Tail swatted the ground as she stared at the ice, lost in her own thoughts. Panja and Streiter weren't an option even though she had given birth to a litter from the male of Lexis Tribe.
A lot had happened lately within her pride. Florence had passed away, sacrificing herself for her children. Would she ever be like that? Icefang wasn't sure as she thought of her own two cubs. She had taken back Ember with force after making the mistake of birthing on Lexis. But what about Crouse? It was obvious that she missed her brother, but since Panja was moping there was no way she could go on her own and get back her son. Not when she was missing an eye. Icefang had been in Lexis territory enough to know the landscape by memory. But she normally encountered a cat, which was how she lost her eye.
Sighing softly, she stood up and shook the off any snow that clung to her pelt. Raking at the ice, she kept digging her claws in until she made a crack before slamming both paws into the ice. As a hole appeared, she lowered her skull to lap at the freezing water. A shiver rippled through her body as she drank. She decided she would go hunting after this. That was until she heard a twig snap as she glanced behind her to see Fletcher. The crippled male. "Why are you here?" She snapped.

"Is that a crime now, Miss Icefang?" With a snort of contempt, Fletcher ended the conversation there. The white lionness was irritable - he'd learned that on day one of meeting her - but she was powerful too. They'd worked together at the Strangler's Mountains to play a game of cat and mouse with two hopeless puppies.
It was a fonder memory of his since he had decided to come out of his shell - er... well, come out of the hospital anyway - and be a part of the pride again. He wouldn't go so far as to call Icefang a friend. On the contrary, he'd shudder at the word friendship when it came to anyone in this pride, but he held a certain amount of respect for her, and that was the only reason he had approached, "It is unfortunate female lionnesses don't grow manes. It would keep you warmer."
That was his attempt at sympathy. A shitty attempt, but at least he tried, right? He didn't ask why she was there though. He didn't really care to be honest. He was too busy thinking about Panja and how that foolish, moping mate to his now dead sister was doing nothing important for the Pride. But he liked the cubs that the his sibling-in-law had bore, particularly Alexander. He had the makings of a leader, surely. If only the damn Pride leader would get off his ass and teach him.
Fletcher began to dig in the snow, making a big enough dip that he could lay in, and proceeded to do so without much of a care in the world. If Icefang was bothered by his presence, she could leave, as far as he was concerned.

"Speech"
Snorting, she shook her skull at his comment. No words came from her jaws as she finished her drink. "But I would be dying from the heat in the summer." Was her simple response before flicking her tail. As the lion dug a small spot for him to lay down in the snow, she watched him with some interest. Fletcher was disabled with his left paw mangled but that had the ivory lioness questioning it. With Panja's depression he was surely getting weaker. It wouldn't be long before he wouldn't be able to defend himself. Perhaps if Florence had lived longer and Icefang had grown closer to the two, such plans wouldn't be forming in her head. But this could only happen if the male lion agreed.
"You should take over the Pride." She spoke the words as her one blue eye watched for any reaction. Icefang then stood up, shaking away snow that clung to her pelt before walking towards Fletcher. "Though I'm not sure if the big bad ass could do such a thing to his sister's mate. Surely that would be wrong." Her voice was layered with mocking as she swatted the male's nose with her tail before literally stepping on him. One paw landed on his stomach as she walked over the male and in the direction of Iris. Her steps were slow as the female was in no rush to get back home. She had to take care of Ember but her cub wasn't stupid enough to get herself killed. Icefang would know that.
OOC: Lol, she can't help but mess with him.

At once, he stopped what he was doing, turning his faded eyes to look over at her in question. Was this a joke? It was hard to tell with Icefang. She stepped over him with ease, taunting him further, and Fletcher could feel his stomach tighten with rage, but he only let out the faintest of grunts to show his disdain before speaking, "I suppose I should take over the Pride. What's right is for a capable leader to be in charge, not a moping idiot. Mate to my sister or not, Panja is a grieving fool right now. His damn cub could do a better job."
He paused for a few moments, narrowing his eyes on the blue-eyed lionness, "But the Pride is not fond of me. They would not thrive under a leader they do not appreciate, and if not that, then one that they fear. I am crippled, Icefang. Should a few larger cats turn against me I would be as good as dead..." Fletcher let out a huff at that.
"Why don't you take over the Pride, Icefang?" he countered. "Or have you softened up to that white-furred bastard who calls himself a leader?" He let out something of a sneer at that, wondering if that would stop her in her tracks. She didn't seem to quite be in a rush to leave, after all.

"Speech"
A smirk slipped onto her lips. She knew he was getting annoyed with her taunting. Though being the big "tough" male forced him to keep his cool in check. At his words, she knew she had caught his interest. Tail flicking casually, she sat down a few feet away. Bringing one paw up to her lips, tail flicked out to lick her paw before she swiped it against her ear. "You're right. Panja is moping." Her words were obvious as she listened to Fletcher. A small chuckle echoed into the atmosphere as she brought her blue gaze to land on him.
"Think about what you're saying Fletcher. Half the cats didn't appreciate Florence. They feared her." She paused to let her words sink in. "Have you ever considered using brains over brawn in a battle?" Icefang stood up as she went to close the distance between her and the crippled lion. Standing a foot away, she flicked her tail. "Why don't I take over? It isn't as simple as that. I already have it thought out. But I need some muscle on my side, if I were to take over." A smirk was clear on her lips. "Panja is moping, as you said. This won't make him weaker by strength but by his mind, yes. He'll be clumsy and his accuracy will be off. I've heard he isn't eating so much, so in time he'll strength decrease as winter goes on. Prey is already hard to find."
The words came out as the plan flowed through her mind. This had to work. Only if Fletcher did his part. She didn't mind sharing the throne. As long as he didn't stab her in the back. "He's hanging out where the humans use to slaughter the animals. Panja trusts me now. I can get his guard to leave, ask him to go hunting for Panja. Then I talk for a bit, get him relaxed to my presence and then we dive in for the attack. We could keep him prisoner, kill him, or injure him enough and leave him in tempest territory to fight for his life there." White fog rolled from her jaws as she kept talking. "Then, when the guard comes back we get rid of them as well. We can't let the pride know we took over by force. Make a story up. If they think that Panja was attacked or gave away his power over the pride, their shouldn't be any rebelling felines. The only concern left are his cubs. If they won't work with us, we'll get rid of them as well. They just can't find out the truth."
Icefang moved closer to Fletcher as the ivory fur along her spine rose up. "Do we have a deal? If not, keep your mouth shut." She growled as she bared her teeth. She had revealed her whole plan. If Fletcher went and warned Panja, she would be banished before she could take action.
