”Wanna fight?” he whispered temptingly in her right ear. His warm body slightly touched hers and she could feel a shiver crawling up her spine. It certainly wasn’t only a fight that the male husky was looking for, but some… attention as well. The male husky was darker than her, older than her and a strong one as well. And strength was certainly something Victoria looked for in a male. ”You know, Dyran,” she started in an almost purring voice and pressed her body softly against his, ”I must admit that you are giving me a really tempting offer,” she continued as she made him go a few steps backwards as she pressed her own warm body a little harder against his. In the background, the male Rottweiler Ethan was trying to keep his mouth shut.
”But I’m no match for you,” she ended with a laugh and got a surprised howl as answer. The case was that Victoria with her caress had pushed Dyran down from the rocks they had been playing on, and he now landed heavily on the ground beneath them. Ethan’s roaring laughter drowned the sound of her own chuckle and Dyran’s angry growl. The fall had only been a little more than a meter, but Dyran wasn’t one who liked being made fun of, and Victoria knew it. ”Go home to your mom, Dyran. There’s nothing more for you to get here,” she said with a sneer as she held her head high, towering above the older husky who now stood on the ground. She liked towering above losers like him, and the cliff she stood on only made her feel more superior.
Dylan huffed angrily, but left and Ethan ran to stand by her side. ”Seems like you taught him, huh?” the big dog chuckled and Victoria nodded. ”Certainly. But I should never have shown him attention in the first place – he’s too much of a momma’s boy for me.” And it was right. Dyran had been strong and all that, and she had also flirted with him for several days now, but he had been too much a momma’s boy for her liking. So it was good that it ended now.”Want to fight with me then?”
|
Ethan asked, teasing her with the episode before. He jumped down from the cliff and lowered his front body, ready to play. She liked Ethan. He was a big brute with a simple mind and was pretty much the only one of the kind who didn’t want to flirt with her. Ethan was one of her best friends on her own age, but Kai and her had started to grow close as well even though the other female was a year older than Victoria. She jumped down from the cliff and readied herself to attack her growling friend, but the sight of a dark creature in the corner of her eye stopped her. Ethan looked questioningly at her, but she cut him off before he said anything. ”You just go home, Ethan. I’ll talk to you later.” She smiled to him before he ran off and then turned to the black wolf. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Orion had never really ventured much around The Tempest Pack. His mother had always kept him well away from such ruthless, vicious canines, however now that Orion was older and maturer, he was getting more and more curious. His paws took him along the lip of Tooth Cliff, rocks crumbling away from beneath him, into the turmoil of frothy water below. The wind whistled around of him, rustling through his thick, ebony fur. Bowing his head, Orion ploughed on. He had caught the scent of a few fellow dogs, and was eager to meet more of his own kind. He thirsted a fight, however if he were not to get one, then so be it. Orion was still clumsy, even if he was nearly fully grown and didn't look much like a cub anymore. He just hoped his paws wouldn't fail him and he wouldn't fall in front of a stranger. Orion hated the thought of someone laughing in his face.
Orion could see some dogs in the distance, apparently playfighting with each other. The rich scent of a female caught his nose, and Orion jolted in surprise. He had met very few females in his short life, other than his mother and his sister. He could see them playing on the rocks, with the female pushing a male onto the ground. Orion perked in interest, wondering whether there was a fight - a play-fight obviously - in store for him. However, just before the female attacked the second male, she suddenly sent him away when she caught sight of Orion. The black wolf paused for a moment, unsure of whether she was welcoming him in. Deciding to take the plunge, Orion approached the dog, who didn't look much older than him. Although not fully grown, Orion was around the same size as this dog.
Gazing at the female, Orion was careful to not let his legs get the better of him. His legs shook from the concentration he was putting into walking on the unstable rocks. He couldn't afford a tumble in front of her - Orion would die of shame! Finally, Orion came to a stop before her, and he looked up at her with bright, amber eyes. Orion didn't know much about females and was fairly impartial to their figure and beauty. However, he did determine that this dog had lovely, thick fur which complimented well with her body. Feeling a little awkward at first, he cleared his throat. "I'm not intruding am I?" He asked smoothly with a small smile. He wondered why she had chased the other dog off as soon as she had caught Orion's eyes.
I don't venture in these parts much," He admitted, "I suppose I'd better introduce myself as Orion, son of Gravity and Rikki." He puffed out his chest in pride. Orion would never cease mentioning his bloodlines to strangers. He always loved seeing the recognition of Gravity's name in their eyes, however most dogs weren't that bothered that he was the son of a Tempest Leader. Orion couldn't think why.

As she looked at the dark creature, she felt quite proud of herself. She was deaf on her left ear, but she had still noticed the dark wolf coming closer. After all, her other senses were just like they should be and with a deaf ear, Victoria was always alert. She had been bullied from time to time when she had been younger, but that was done now – she had just needed to fight those who teased them and then they would shut up. She had really taught others that even though she was deaf, she was still strong. The teasing had made her quite alert since she always checked if someone was nearby, ready to attack her. And as a juvenile in the Tempest Pack, her attention about her surroundings had helped her a lot in fights and tracking.
The black wolf was perhaps a little younger than herself, but not much. She didn’t recognize him, but he strongly smelled of the pack, so there was no reason to feel threatened by him. The fact that she didn’t know who he was only made him more interesting to her. As he came closer she noticed that he seemed to be a bit shaky on his legs, but it was probably just because of the rocky ground and maybe he had also wandered about for a while on the cliffside. That could be quite tiring after all. He stopped before her and looked at her with his amber eyes which were quite charming. He looked really cute, and the fact that he was a wolf had to mean that he was quite strong as well. Victoria shook her head firmly as he asked if he was intruding. ”Not at all, so don’t worry about that,” she said, flashing him a bright smile.
She perked up her ears when he continued. Orion, huh? She would have to remember that. And as for Gravity and Rikki… “Oh, I remember their names! Though I’ve only seen Rikki on a distance…. You must be one of Valkyrie’s brothers then, right? She saw how Orion puffed his chest out at his parents’ names, and with good reason. If his father had been Gravity, Orion really had to be someone important. She was of course too young to know much about Gravity and why he wasn’t around anymore – she just knew he once had been the leader of the pack. ”I’m Victoria by the way - nice to meet your Orion,” she said politely, taking in his features and frame with her brown eyes. He looked good and hoped not that she would scare him away with her own appearance. After all, she was a slender, little thing to look at. Her pelt was thick and even though she wasn’t as robust as a male, you could still see that she was strong. She didn’t want him to lose interest in her, but on the other hand, if he were, he was too much of a pushover for her.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=cellSpacing,0,true][atrb=cellPadding,0,true][atrb=width,450,true] | [atrb=background,http://i41.tinypic.com/30k6nv6.jpg,true] Orion relaxed when the female flashed him a bright smile. He wasn't intruding. He glowed with pride when Victoria recognised the names of his parents, however was a little taken aback by the mention of his sister. He didn't realise they had met before, and wondered whether they were good friends. Orion didn't mind his younger sister, however she was a little excitable for his liking. She always just seemed so upbeat. Not only that, but she never tripped or fell like he did. Why was it that his sister could walk and run better than he did? It made Orion boil with jealousy sometimes. It wasn't fair. However, he had been told many times that life simply just wasn't fair. He had to put up with his irritating condition and get on with his life. Besides, Orion's stature and gait was improving daily now. Maybe one day he would never trip up again.
"You know Valk?" Orion said, tilting his head curiously, "And yes. My mother doesn't usually venture to the Tempest. She had raised us away from this place. I can't think why." Orion shrugged. He had never really questioned it. Perhaps The Tempest Pack was just too crowded for Rikki's liking. He did like how secluded it was where he had grown up. It was nice not having to see dogs left, right and centre. However, now Orion was older, he wanted to meet new canines. He wanted to make friends like the rest. It had been a bit of a lonely cubhood, really. Orion should've tried harder to find and make friends, but he had been a bit of a recluse, not interested in other canines.
When Victoria introduced herself, Orion nodded. He could feel her eyes on him, taking in his appearance. Orion had never been too fussed on what he looked like. He also didn't know whether he was a handsome wolf. Orion always thought himself to be a little scruffy. He wasn't careful with his fur, meaning a lot of dirt and grime got caked into his underbelly. As a cub, his mother would wash him with her soft, warm tongue. Now he was older, it was up to Orion to keep himself clean. Orion quickly glanced down at his ebony fur, and noted that he was a bit dusty. He swished his thick, bushy tail, a crooked smile appearing on his face. "If I were to know I was meeting a lovely looking female like yourself, I would've cleaned my fur a little." He admitted smoothly. It was a burst of confidence that made Orion say that, and he was a little shocked himself at speaking such words. He hoped that Victoria wouldn't take offence in it.

She shook her head a few times at Orion’s question. “No, well uh. I don’t know you sister personally – she’s just... running around a lot, so I actually only know her by name,” Victoria laughed for a second, feeling a little silly. Truth was that she had been curious as to who the little energy ball had been, and it hadn’t taken long for her to get a name on the young she wolf. As for Rikki, the young dog wondered why she had raised her cubs at a distance from the pack. Maybe that was why she hadn’t seen Orion before? She had heard that Rikki once had been caught and tortured by the Iris Pride, but she didn’t know if Orion knew anything about that – or if it was the truth at all. It might just be rumours, and to tell the truth then Victoria wasn’t up for finding out right now. She didn’t want to feel more stupid than she did already, so for now she just kept every thought about Orion’s parents at bay.
Orion was much more interesting in her eyes anyway.
She chuckled kindly at the black wolf’s words. A lovely looking female, huh? It might be that he had grown up at a distance from other canines, but it seemed like he had a bit of charm anyway. As for his dirty fur. ”Don’t worry about that,” she said casually and walked past him, brushing her big tail softly against his dark whiskers. ”I don’t mind seeing a little dirt from time to time,” she said playfully and looked back at him. She admitted to herself that she wouldn’t mind if he looked cleaner under special occasions, but the fact that Orion’s dark fur was a little dusty just showed that he wasn’t scared of getting dirty – and oh how sick she would be if she started dating a guy who would scream like a girl every time there was a chance of getting dirty. That would truly be a pain. She had already made the mistake of flirting with a momma’s boy, so she didn’t want to make more mistakes. At least not too many. And as for now, it seemed like Orion was fairly interested in her, just like she was in him – she just hoped that he wouldn’t get to know about her deafness on her left ear. Or that it at least would take him some time to figure it out. But nevermind, she had been unsure for long enough. Now was the time to have some fun.
”Besides. Cleaning your handsome coat now won’t do you any good,” she continued in her playful tone, tilting her head a little to the side before she lowered her front body. Flickering her tail in the air, a daring smile came across her lips. She dared him to attack her. Since he looked about the same age as her, a little playfight couldn’t do any harm. And she had to admit that she would love to find out just how strong a wolf could be.

Of course everyone knew Valk's name. She was quite the hyperactive one. Orion often got tired just looking at her and her energy. He wasn't sure where she got it from, but it was often amusing just watching her. He had been one of the more mellow cubs of the litter, mainly because he knew if he was as active as his sister, he would make twice as many trips and falls than he usually does. Before Orion could say anything, Victoria was walking towards him, brushing her tail tantalisingly close to his muzzle. Eyes widening, Orion shivered from the tickling jolt. "Fur is such a pain to clean," He laughed, "I always hated when my mother would lick me clean when I was younger." As soft and lulling as his mother's tongue had been, he always wanted to scramble away from her.
The black wolf wasn't sure what he was expecting, but as soon as she lowered the front half of her body to the ground, Orion grinned. She was asking for a fight. Orion mirrored her action, thrusting his rear half into the air and gazing into her eyes. For now, Orion forgot about his bad coordination. He was too busy playing with a new friend. "I would ask if you're ready," Orion drawled, "But during war, no soldier asks their enemy if they're ready." With that, Orion pounced at Victoria, leaping into the air towards her. Orion didn't actually know his own strength, and was wary that he may hurt her. How sharp were his teeth? How strong was his body? Would Victoria match his strength? The questions were gone in a flash as he missed Victoria by an inch. Had she dodged, or was Orion's eye coordination failing him? He hoped it wasn't the latter.
Letting out a yapping bark, Orion spun around to face her again, navigating himself around the rocks. He bristled his fur and erected his ears to puff his body up and make himself look more threatening, before he launched at Victoria again, hoping this time to knock straight into her.

He quickly caught her intentions about a play fight. As he mirrored her action, their eyes locked and for her, it felt good to look straight into his amber eyes – especially because there was no uncertainty to trace in his eyes. But why should he also be uncertain? He was a wolf, not some little scared dog. How exciting it would be to test his strength. It was just then Orion spoke up and darted towards her. Victoria’s body quickly reacted on the male’s attack, but it was only by a few inches that he missed her as she jumped out of his way.
As she landed on her four, she could feel how he had made her heart race in her chest. He was so fast! Hadn’t he given her any kind of warning, Victoria knew that she for sure already would be lying on the ground with him grinning on top of her. But even though she could already feel just how much faster he could be than her, the female mix wouldn’t let him get her easily. Not even if he should prove to be much stronger than her. She would find a way to fight him. Find a way to become the strongest. Find a way to win.
Huffing triumphantly at her dodge, she tried not to show Orion that he had chocked her with his quick movements. Choosing to use the rocks as cover, she rushed in and out, trying to hide from Orion until she had thought out a plan to get him. "You won't get me that easily!" she shouted to him cheerfully. Maybe she could catch him at a vulnerable point in the cover of the rocks and thereby surprise him enough to get him? But what Victoria hadn’t thought was that it was Orion finding her, and she tumbled over as he jumped onto her. Laughing in surprise, she tried to push him away with her paws, trying to use his own movement against him so that she easier could push him away.
