"Speech."
The adventurous beagle was mentally patting himself on the back. The reason why, he had found a place to live that he himself had dubbed perfect. It was on the beach, one of his favorite places so far. Somewhere on the beach was a small cave with a wide, long tunnel at the back. The tunnel led to a fairly larger cave covered with sand and with a hole letting light from the sun come in. When the tide came in, the water would flood out the cave and tunnel, but the water only came up to bellow his chest in the tunnel. Beni didn't expect to get any unwanted visitors while he was gone, but he marked around that area anyway, claiming the cave as his own.
There were too many new and exciting places for the traveler to explore to worry about one place to rest, not when he could possibly find many more.
Right now he was exploring the, almost completely abandoned, farm. Beni was surprised to find that some livestock such as cows, sheep, chickens, etc., were still here trying to survive without humans to care for them. He decided to explore the house first, then the stables and chicken coops next. The beagle prowled through some overgrown grass before reaching his destination and explored the dusty, empty home first. Well, almost empty. Two chickens made their nests downstairs while he found a sheep resting on one of the beds upstairs.
He explored upstairs, downstairs, every nook and cranny of the dusty old wooden house before exiting the house and headed toward some of the livestock to see how quick they were.

Walking at a lackadaisical pace through the wide open countryside, Koen found himself more bored now than he had in years. He had felt that all too familiar itch in his paws, and it had led him here; to the one place where nothing ever happened. Sighing, his head dropped as he stared at the ground. Mid day in the middle of autumn, and everyone was far away from here. He didn't know why he picked here, of all places. Something told him good things were coming, that he only had to be patient.
Stopping mid stride down the dirt path he'd been following, Koen looked up at the sky, his sensitive eyes squinting in the bright light. YOU BETTER HAVE SOMETHING GOOD. He barked. Almost in an immediate response, a startled chicken darted past, heading straight for...a farm? Now this would be fun. If there were still barn animals running around, there were plenty of things to chase. Wait. He began, trotting after the chicken. The chicken, rightly wanting to have nothing to do with the dog, only ran faster, it's wings flailing absurdly around it. WAIT. He yapped. WAIT FOR MEEE.
Now barreling head on after this chicken, Koen quickly closed the distance between them. Snapping on instinct after its tail feathers, his focus was so intently put on the white bird that he didn't see the large ram standing just outside the farmhouse. By the time he did look up, it was too late. Koen slammed on the brakes, his paws scrambling about to bring him to a stop, but to no avail. Screeching as it happened, the merle mutt bowled over the ram, the two becoming a tangled mess of fur and hooves. By the time the dust had settled, however, Koen found himself in a bit of a predicament.
No sooner had the ram gained its own footing had it decided it was going to grind the fluffy white thing into a fine paste. Deciding himself that didn't sound pleasant, Koen struggled to get himself upright before he felt the brush of horns pushing his rump. The vague brush of danger was enough to get him going, and like a bolt he took off, the ram at his heels running around and around the farm.

"Speech."
He explored the pens where the chickens were after leaving the dusty old house. Beni found joy in chasing them about and watching some of them try to jump over the wire fence while other just ran out of the door to the pin. Their panicked clucking could be heard but no sounds of pain. The dog wasn't hungry, so he had no interest in hunting them. His game stopped when something much too big to be a chicken caught his attention. It was too big to even be a rooster.
He hadn't seen many, but Beni did know what a turkey looked like. He probably could take the bird down, but he didn't want to try. His first encounter with one of these birds wasn't a pleasant one. The beagle ran from the pen as soon as the turkey moved toward him. He took shelter under an old tractor before he saw the other larger dog.
For a short while Beni watched as the stranger was chased around the farm by a ram. He couldn't help but find the sight somewhat amusing. The beagle stayed hidden and watched with obvious amusement until the two passed close enough in front of him. Beni ran out from his hiding place as quickly as he could when the ram passed. He latched onto one of its' hind legs and avoided its other kicking leg. He didn't let go of the leg until the ram tripped and fell onto its side. Beni backed away when the ram rolled onto its back, and took shelter under the tractor when it started to chase him instead.
