As the wind blew across the old abandoned castle, a yipping came through the corridors. It was from a young coyote by the name of Larka. She hadn't gotten far when she had spied the old building and had decided she would safe to stay until she figured out what to do. Walking around, she saw old fallen portraits of strange people and some parts that crumbled and were gaping holes. Well, she wasn't thrilled with herself for running away, she knew she had to. Larka wasn't a fighter and never would be. Settling in one of the more sheltered parts of the castle, she sat and thought of her plan. Not only would she have to find her brother, but she would have to seek the Lexus tribe.
But, what could she do? Her brother had already been poisoned by her father's tutelage. No, her first goal would be to seek the council of the Lexus and maybe they could help her. Then again, they were probably too busy. Maybe, she could confront him on her own and beg him to change his mind. She growled in frustration as she thought over all the possibilities. There just didn’t seem to be any way around it. Deciding to go hunting, she left the castle and headed into the nearby forest where she managed to successful y round up two big rabbits. Satisfied, she sat down to eat the tasty meat which felt heavenly on her tongue.
Finishing up the delightful meal, she trotted back toward the castle and decided that she would stay for a little bit until she could figure something out. She also had to be alert for any signs of other predators and more importantly her father. She knew it wouldn’t be long before he found out she hadn’t joined the tempest pack. Deciding to explore her surroundings, she got up and trotted down one of the more dusty corridors of the castle.
