PERSONALITY |
Cadoc had grown up exposed to little emotion from his family and Pack. This didn't make Cadoc emotionless as such, but he lacks the love and empathy that many other canines have. He has never experienced love, isn't even sure whether it exists to him. Likewise, Cadoc has never felt a burning hatred like others. It amuses him when he approaches clients and sees their hatred for other dogs or cats. The war Cadoc can't even begin to fathom. He had never met felines until he came to Hexasol. Whilst some attacked him, others would have a conversation with him. It confused him as to why they were at war. Cadoc stayed well away from battles.
Due to this 'emotionless' side of Cadoc, he doesn't find it difficult to kill. He doesn't enjoy it, but it's a job for him. He kills. He's rewarded. He eats. It's a constant cycle, and as long as there's a reward at the end of it then Cadoc is happy. He aims of the throat purely to make it an easier job for him. To make a dog or cat suffer takes a lot more time and thought into it. He once had to break the bones in a dog's body and it had just been too time consuming for him. He also understands that he wouldn't want to die in pain. Making it quick is just the more logical way of doing things.
When Cadoc isn't being an assassin, he finds himself at a loss. He has never really communicated with anyone outside of his Pack before. He found it extremely difficult when he first came to Hexasol. He's never had friends, other than his sister he supposes, and so when he is approached by a dog or a cat, Cadoc is faintly stunned by their chattiness. It takes a while for his mind to catch up with him and from how he talks he almost sounds like a robot. He was so used to doing what he was told in his Pack that he can sometimes forget himself in Hexasol. He takes orders from clients now, so when he isn't conversing with a client it can be difficult.
Cadoc has a deep appreciation of food. He never wastes meat. He eats as much as he can until he feels sick, then saves the rest for the next day. He licks a bone clean before he is finished. There is nothing left for a scavenger to eat. This comes from his difficult upbringing where he was constantly hungry. Another thing Cadoc never realised he enjoyed was sex. He isn't greedy in a sense, but he loves having the female clients, purely because a lot of them offer their bodies as a reward. It's a guilty little pleasure of Cadoc's that he can't stop now that he's started. Cadoc isn't bothered if he accidentally gets a female pregnant. He carried the old fashioned view that it is the female's job to carry, birth and care for the puppies, and the male will always be out of the picture. He wouldn't even know where to begin with a puppy.
Fighting is never, and never will be, Cadoc's strong point. Whilst his job involves murder, he's had a few times where the dog or cat wakes before he's done his deed. He only ever fought a few times when he had been in is Outlanders Pack, so he is still very rusty on his moves. It is usually just pure luck when he wins a fight. However, Cadoc will never back down from a fight if he's being challenged. He will never be a coward. You must always look into the eyes of your enemy, even if you know you have a chance of being seriously injured. Cadoc doesn't fear death.• likes | food, females

APPEARANCE |
Cadoc isn't one of those purebred dogs, but he probably sways more on a Dutch Shepherd than a German Shepherd regarding his bloodline. His fur is almost ebony, speckled with a dusting of brown in various places around his coat. His eyes are a deep amber which lacks much emotion at all. His coat is fairly short, which shows his protruding bones. He has gained weight since arriving at Hexasol, yet he still looks unbearably thing in places such as his ribs. The longer he stays in the city, the more he will fatten out. His ears stand erect on the top of his head, making it easier to listen out for movement or danger. His long legs make him stealthy and his paws have adjusted to various grounds so that he can be as silent as possible.• height | 26 in

HISTORY |
Born in the crisp autumn several years after humans perished, Cadoc would not realise it yet, however he was one of the lucky ones in his family. His mother travelled with an Outlanders Pack between two major cities. They were scavengers, hunting any prey that had taken a wrong turn and headed out into the unforgiving plains. There you would come across scavengers and bandits. These were not safe places for a young puppy such as Cadoc. Due to limited supplies, the Outlanders had a rule to every female who birthed puppies. Only the first-born male and female survived. The others would either be quickly slaughtered by the lead male, or left to starve in the plains, pecked at by vultures until they perished. Cadoc had been born second, behind his elder brother. When his mother saw how weak Cadoc's brother was, she knew he would've survive more than a week in the harsh conditions they lived in. Without even a name, Cadoc's brother was killed by the leader, who was also his father, Bran. Cadoc had one other sister and another two brothers, however due to the rules, his younger brothers were instantly killed too. Cadoc would not know how his mother reacted to this, however she never mentioned her dead children, nor ever showed any grief. It was the way of the pack.
Cadoc and his sister, Elenaor, were quick to learn that hunger was their life. They would constantly suckle from their mother's teat, yet no sustenance would enter their small bodies. It didn't take long before their mother's milk dried up completely, forcing them to move onto the tough meat of old, decrepit animals who had blindly wandered into the plains. With a pack of eight to feed, it was difficult for everyone to have enough to fulfill them. Nearly every feeding time Cadoc would witness a fight break out between the most hungry dogs, needing more to keep them going. He woke once to the corpse of a fellow pack member, dead from hunger.
It was Elenaor who broke away from the Outlanders first. It was no life for her. Feeling the constant clawing hunger at the throat was just not enough for her high ambitions. Cadoc had always been closer to his sister than the rest of his pack members. She briefly spoke to Cadoc before she left, requesting for him to come with her, however Cadoc felt a strong sense of duty to stay with the Pack. Unable to convince him, she left, heading north to a city named Longrow. Rumours had been whispering that the city held plentiful meat and peace was amongst the animals. Cadoc had never been to a city in his short life and had always been curious as to what the city held for a dog like him.
During his harsh second winter, Cadoc found it increasingly difficult to survive. They had not eaten in weeks and Cadoc was well aware that a female from his Pack he had bred with a month earlier would soon be birthing his children. The Pack didn't regard mating as anything special. There was no love or sensitivities as Cadoc had mounted the dog. He knew her name, they had grown up together, yet that was all he needed to do to repopulate their dwindling pack. As the female, Pandora, grew fatter, Cadoc grew more restless. With potentially two more mouths to feed, it would be impossible for the whole Pack to get enough food to live the season. It wasn't long before Pandora went into labour, birthing six puppies. Two female, four male. Knowing the law, Cadoc quickly put four out of six puppies out of their misery.
That night, as everyone slept, Cadoc made up his mind. This was no life for him anymore, as much as it hadn't been his sister's life. The Pack roamed for their next meal everyday. They were near strangers to each other. In the dead of the night, Cadoc sent his two puppies one last glance, before leaving. He walked until he came across a city. Hexasol, a passing dog had said to him. He had been warned of the raging war that was within the towering buildings, however he was too transfixed on the prey that was found roaming through the meadows. They could feed thousands!
Cadoc tried hunting, however he hadn't hunted since he was born. His Pack had relied on scavenging for food or killing off the weak prey who had come to the plains to die. It had been easy. The deer were fast in Hexasol, escaping easily from Cadoc's snapping jaws. Bothered and hungry, Cadoc had paced about the Hexasol land. He didn't want to wear down his energy before he got his next meal, yet everything was too fast for him.
There, Cadoc came across a female with three newborn puppies. Her eyes flashed with rage as Cadoc watched from afar. Curious as to what made this female so angry, he eventually approached her. After warming to Cadoc, she explained how her mate had used her for sex, and left as soon as she got pregnant. She longed to kill him. Without much thought, Cadoc offered to do it for her, as long as she repayed him. The female's eyes glinted with excitement and he went off, following the scent that still clung to the female's pelt, until he came across the male dog asleep in a cave. Stealthily, Cadoc approached the dog, snapping his teeth at his throat. The dog's eyes flew open in the last few seconds of his life as he bled out over the cave. Saying nothing, Cadoc left as soon as his deed was done. He let the female smell the blood that coated Cadoc's muzzle, before she brought Cadoc half a deer. Cadoc ate like a glutton. It was his first full meal all to himself. He didn't have to share with anyone. He swallowed down as much meat as his stomach could take, before the female offered her own body as a bonus. Cadoc greedily took her as well, before he departed in the morning, wondering whether this could be a new job for him.
From that day on, Cadoc became an assassin. He started seeking or dogs and cats that wanted someone dead. They would offer themselves, food, shelter, even their own children if they wanted someone dead that much. Cadoc would always go in the dead of the night and deliver one fatal bite to the throat. He always made it as painless as possible, unless their client specified to make them suffer. Soon, whispers around the city of the Night Assassin began to spread, and animals started approaching him with requests.
