71 pounds of paws sunk into the thick, wet mud puddles as she trudged through the field, her white, short fur inviting the cool air that rushed by to say 'hello'. Her jaws slightly opened, and her long, pink tongue lolled over her dull, bottom teeth, her round, hazel eyes glistening with pleasure. Kyra was tired of moping around the weird smelling territory that once belonged to Humans. She hated them. The way they talked, their language, and the way they looked. Kyra didn't like them AT ALL. So to get rid of the smell of the now-dead Streets that Animals roamed through, she decided to visit the beautiful field that in the middle of it, sat a lake.
She slowed her pace, her dark claws digging into the mossy earth beneath her as she watched the trees that surrounded, barely sway, their leaves falling and flowing through the bright sky delicately, landing gently in the green blades of grass. Some twigs lied on the ground as well, some even in front of Kyra. She examined the faint paw prints that was imprinted into the brown ooze, and the small bugs that creepily crawled inside of them. She shook her thick head, her floppy ears flopping, as if the bugs were crawling on her themself.
So Kyra began to move on. She raised from her haunches and deeply inhaled the sweet air Mother Nature that gave her, and felt the warmth that the sun gave out for free. She observed the white, fluffy clouds that moved slowly through the bright, blue sky as if they had nothing else to do, which they didn't. Her heart thudded against her chest with excitement, as Kyra's round, hazel eyes suddenly sat on the great lake that sat ahead of her. She padded on. Her tail lightly swayed like the branches did in the wind, and the leaves in the air. Her stomach rumbled and snarled viciously for the food she didn't have and was too weak to hunt for, as she approached the large body of water.
Was she afraid to step in the cool water? Maybe. Maybe Not. Was she lonely? 100% Yes...
