Speech
Relief washed through Diablo when no questions where thrown at him. If she had asked questions he would have answered but it would have been a painful experience. He felt as if he had cheated her. Unintentionally he had gotten her to give him information but then would not repay the favor. Looking at the ground he glanced at her a moment with apologetic eyes. If he had pulled a stunt like this even unintentionally the person he had done it to would have had his hide and thats not what he wanted. If she had been angry with him he probably would have broke down and told her anything she wanted to know, he would have gone as far as submitting to her and licking her chin till she forgave him. Diablo would do anything to know her, to stay with her, to have her want him near. Happily Diablo would have left the Tempest and his hate of cats to live in the depths of this desert wilderness if it made Billie happy. Glancing toward her he saw her nod and returned a thankful smile with his eyes holding an apology but gave nothing more. In time though if she tolerated his presence like he hoped she would and they became friends Diablo would tell her his entire story to let her judge him as she pleased happily. Only time would tell what would happen between these two.
A lick over his muzzle made Diablo smile widen and spirits lift. Billies words only added to his rising spirits and he returned her lick with two quick licks to her cheek in thanks. She understood and that comforted him in a way no one could come close to understanding. Ears perked Diablo listened to her and smiled with excitement. Always was thing dingo up for a hunt. “Of course,” he replied. As he slowly stood Diablo gave a quick stretched by lowering his front end and stretching out his front legs before standing up strait and looked about surveying the area with his tail slowly waging. “What do you have to hunt around here?” He asked turning his gaze to Billie. Deer out here was very unlikely which was a shame seeing as there was two of them. The last time he had eat deer was two winters ago when he had stumbled across a frozen half eaten carcass almost completely buried in snow. He didn't know what had eaten on it before and hadn't cared because then it had been his and he had finished it off. Still fresh deer meat would have been a great feast for them yet here the only thing he expected was quick skinny hares. Billie lived here so Diablo knew she would know what was on the menu and where to find it far better than he would.

The female watched with golden eyes as the male in front of her eased up and appeared more relaxed. Just moments ago he had gone tense, as if he was uncomfortable with the topic of conversation but with two words, Billie had managed to wipe away Diablo's lack of comfort and lift his spirits. A couple of quick licks reached her cheek and she smiled softly, her tail constantly wagging at the steady speed it was previously. She had quickly learned that this male wanted what she herself wanted. Companionship. Even though Hexasol was full of canines with a variety of breeds and colours, these two were yet to find another dingo, until today.
“Of course,” Diablo's response of Billie's offer to go hunting filled her with joy and excitement. She hadn't been hunting with a friend for a long time, let alone another dingo. She still couldn't get over the fact that she had found another dingo. A male dingo at that. “What do you have to hunt around here?” Scrambling up on to her paws, Billie cocked her head to the side, thinking about what the two dingoes might be able to eat today. "Well as you might have already realized, deer is a no show around here. There's dozens of small rodents though and quite a few lizards. " Her thoughts soon drifted over to the largest thing she had ever caught out on the plains and she instantly licked her lips at just the thought of it. "The biggest thing around here is probably the pigs. They're not as big as the ones you find in the forest but they sure do taste good."
Billie hoped that Diablo liked pig. It was pretty likely, she was yet to come across a canine that didn't like the sweet taste of pork. Sniffing the air, she longed for the scent of pig to be picked up by her sensitive nose. She came across the pigs quite frequently but because she was alone and there was almost no cover to hide behind, the animal more often than not, managed to see her and get away before she could get close enough. Maybe with another dingo to help her out, the taste of pig should soon be on their tongues.

Diablo's tailed wagged as he stood the thoughts of a hunt racing through his mind. He almost wanted to prancing in place but that would have made him look like some silly puppy so he stood still with his tail running a thousand miles an hour. His excited eyes on Billie he watched her get to her paws with her head cocked in the cutest way. Smiling he couldn't help but try to cover a chuckle. The little action was adorable, anyone who didn't think so probably were dropped by their mothers when they were pups.
Ears perked toward Billie listening to her talk about the prey he couldn't help but feel disappointed. Rats and lizards were not what he had hoped for in a first hunt with her. They were so much stronger together and could take down more than just quick little mouthfuls. Looking at her he could sense she had a thought. Just the little flickers of emotion he could see, small movements gave him hints as to what she was thinking. Diablo missed this. Being with people he could read, tell the emotions of. With wolves, foxes and other wild canines is was easier than with dogs. Trying to tell what those mutts were thinking was like trying to read a book backwards, upside down, and in a foreign language. Reading Billie was as easy as breathing. Dingo to dingo, brother to sister, they were the same.
It was Diablo's turn to tilt his head. “Pig?” He asked. Sure he'd seen the boars in the forest and even a few stupid ones take to the side walks and places like that to shift through human trash looking for food. But out here, he couldn't imagine what they ate in this desert. “They're out here?” He asked unsure. Then a smile broke out on his lips. Pig, pork, meat, an actual hunt. Tail wagging he couldn't help but prance forward excitedly. Turning back to look at her with his tongue hanging out of his mouth Diablo still smiled. His excitement was as clear as day. Never had he actually hunt with an other dingo. In the zoo they were fed carcasses already dead and for the eating. Today he would be able to hunt, to run, to kill with one of his own.

Any canine could read her features like a book. She was happy here, she wanted to be here forever. She really enjoyed the male's company. He was easy to talk to, funny and playful. Billie was usually neither of those things but in the right crowd, she could do anything.
“Pig?” Billie nodded slowly, a gentle smile forming on her lips. At first Diablo seemed unsure but his expression of confusion quickly changed in to excitment. “They're out here?” The female nodded her head faster, her mouth open in a pup-ish smile. "Yep. I don't know what they eat or how they manage to survive out here, but they do." She spoke in her strong accent."I see 'em quite a lot, but because I hunt alone, I hardly ever manage to catch one." She added in a quieter tone.
The female's tail was wagging even faster at this point. With Diablo on her team, she was sure to eat. She hadn't eaten anything for a couple days now and she was getting desperate. As dissappointing as it is, even a small mouse would be good enough for Billie. She just had to get something in her belly, and soon. Glancing up at the male, she returned the playful and eager expression. She giggled softly as she watched as Diablo pranced forward, his tongue hanging from his jaw. Deciding now would be a good time to get tracking, she lowered her head and sniffed the ground. So far, all she could scent was her and Diablo's scent but something was sure to come up sooner or later.

Speech
Billie confirming that there were pigs in the area made Diablo almost burst with excitement. They would hunt together, hunts something fast, something large, something that would take effort and be worth it and that only they together could bring down. Licking his lips as his tail wagged furiously he watched her to see what she would do. He knew he would put his nose to dirt and start sniffing one out and if that didn't work try his nose to the air but what would she do was what he wanted to know. He was of course born in a zoo not learning the ways of hunting from his parents like a wild dingo would. However Billie had. She knew the ways of their people and Diablo wanted to know them in anyway he possibly could.
A giant smile broke out on his lips when her nose lowered to the ground and she began to sniff. Her eager gaze had told him she was hungry so he made this into more a mission than just a simple hunt. He wasn't starving but he was hungry. Only yesterday Diablo had managed to catching himself some goose and though it was mostly feathers it had fed him. That thought lead him to wonder when the last time Billie had eaten.
With that on his mind Diablo lifted his nose to the air and took a deep intake of air through his nostrils. There was little breeze but that didn't matter. Air was always moving, always carrying messages. Trotting froward he sniffed at the air trying to find even a hint of pig while swiveling his head. After a moment he found it. The scent was faint but it was there and they had a direction. “This way!” He said looking back at her with an excited smile and a spark in his eyes. With that he was off. He wasn't sprinting but it was more a fast trot his nose up following the faint scent of pig till it got stronger.

The female pulled her interest away from the dusty ground and back u to Diablo, the emotion of excitement plastered all over his body. This made the usually antisocial dingo giggle and make her excitement build even further. Watching him lift up his head and inhale deeply made her return her attention to the ground. She sniffed carefully but the only scents she could detect were Diablo's and her own. Billie moved a few steps forward, constantly sniffing the ground for any signs of potential prey. So far she had found nothing but she wished Diablo would have more look. She hadn't eaten for just over two days now and she was getting desperate. She had managed to hunt down a few burrowing rodents and a couple lizards that day but it wasn't much for a dingo like her.
“This way!” The loud bark of the male made her eyes twitch. She instinctively sniffed the air, the very place Diablo was sniffing. He was right. The scent of pig was faint but it was still there. The steady pace of her tail increased in speed rapidly. Following the dingo in a steady trot, she stopped at his side and lifted her head. "Well what are you waiting for?" Billie barked, her tone full of eagerness and excitement. Looking in to Diablo's brown eyes, she giggled before racing forward in the direction of the pig. She didn't run at full speed, otherwise that would tire her out and leave with no energy to take down the pig. Turning her head to look at Diablo, she barked a few times to encourage him to follow. "Come on! The sooner we get there, the sooner we can eat!" She howled, her accent still strong and full of her Australian roots. Words;; 299. Muse;; Bleh. Speech
Having sniffed out the pig Diablo watched Billie doubt check him and though it hurt a bit it made sense. They had only known each other for a very short time. This was a matter of eating or starving and she just wanted to make sure he wasn't mistaken. Knowing this he suddenly had a want to prove to her she didn't need to check. To trust him enough that Billie wouldn't need to check again, she would have enough faith in him that when he said lets go she would with out a second thought follow him no matter where he went.
Tail wagging at a steady fast pace he trotted keeping an eye on Billie to see where she would go but all he got was a bark then she ran past him. She ran past him with a giggle and a golden body glowing with excitement for the hunt was was to begin and he mirrored it. Following after her he came up to her flank just behind her giving her the lead. With out thinking about it he was submitting to her and as soon as that came to his attention Diablo sped up a bit so he was an inch ahead of her. He wouldn't be that cowardly male who just rolled over and let the one they love walk over them just so they would stay with them. He was a leader and nothing nor anyone would keep him from that. Yet another dingo over powering the other never ended well. In packs it ended in fights, in relationships it ended in a separation. No matter what it wouldn't come between them like that. The order of things had to be decided slowly with out one forcing power over the other.
Slowing he came to run beside her. Even with her, level, the same level. They would work out how their friendship worked in time but he would not force it on her. If she wished for him to be the leader he would rise to the occasion, if she wanted to be the leader he would stay on the same level with her so they could work things out. Going along with her when she barked he barked playfully in return with her smiling.
Running with her the scent grew stronger and stronger until Diablo slowed. “Wait... You see that?” He asked nodding to the left. Moving around a bush sniffing was a black hog. It had tusks protruding from its mouth and a white ring of fur around its neck with a big thick body supported by short thin legs. Licking his lips Diablo slowed to a stop. Ears perked he looked at the pig then glanced at Billie. He wanted to know what she thought of what to do with this chunk of meat.

A playful howl escaped the female's lungs as she ran in front of Diablo. She was pulling away from the male but it wasn't long before he came up the side of her, an obvious expression of excitement and eagerness. She watched as Diablo remained slightly behind her and didn't move in front of her. He could have quite easily if he wanted to but the feeling of someone next to her, on the same level made her feel secure and warm inside. Slowing her speed slightly so they were actually running side by side, Billie watched Diablo's golden figure and smiled to herself. He really was quite a handsome canine.
“Wait... You see that?” Hearing the dingo's voice instantly called Billie to slow down. She was too deep in thought and hearing Diablo caught her off guard. Looking at Diablo, the female followed his brown eyes until she saw what he saw. A chunky pig not too far away with protruding tusks and short legs. Billie immediately licked her lips. She hadn't eaten for a couple days now and she was desperate. This was just the thing she needed.
The female quickly began to think of a plan. She considered charging straight for it but she knew that would be stupid. The hog would quickly notice the two predators racing towards it and run for it. What they needed her was stealth. With little visible protection, hiding from the boar would be hard but not impossible. The dingoes fur blended in to the sandy ground and if they crouched down low enough, they might be about to get close enough so they could attack without it getting away.
"I think we should split up and come at either side of it. That way if it runs one way, one of us should be able to get it." She spoke, her golden eyes focused entirely on the black pig in front of her. "We'll have to crouch really low and be really quiet so we can get close to it, otherwise are chances are pretty much gone. There's pretty much no cover out here so it's gonna be tough but I think we can do this." Billie directed her eyes back to Diablo, waiting to hear what he thought about her plan. She wondered if he had any success in hunting, or knew any other hunting strategies that would help them bring down the pig.

Speech
Listening to Billie the male dingo kept one ear on their pig. It seemed pretty preoccupied with what ever it was sniffing at which was a grace. While listening to her plan Diablo kept his eyes on the prize with just one ear on her which was plenty enough to get the memo. She wanted no chance of this thing getting away so instead of running the plump pig down they were going for stealth. What she was up for was what she was up for so he said nothing just gave a little nod. Personally he would have loved to just chase the boar down but he was a well fed city canine. She lived out in this barren place so food for her was probably a few and far between gift. Her scares eating habits in mind the man couldn't help but wonder what she would do about the care of pups. How could any woman feed herself and three or four pups in a place like this?
Quickly washing the thought away Diablo gave her ear a lick of affection then slowly walked forward to the right of the pig taking that side. Weaving himself into the dead shrubs he moved toward the black chunk of pork but took the utmost care in being unseen or heard. Each paw step was carefully measured and placed so as not to make even a whisper of sound. Mind on every sense he stalked forward having lost track of Billie. Mind nagging to glance around for her he tried to ignore that. He had no reason to keep an eye on her like he wanted to. She would be fine on her own.
Coming to about four yards from the pig he crouched down watching it scuffle through the dirt. Taking the moment his eyes pealed away from the wild boar to look through the shrubbery for his companion. Nothing moving but his eyes they scanned the brushed on the other side of the pig looking for her, trying to find a signal or something of the sort. A pack was suppose to know exactly how each other ticked and though they hadn't known each other for long Diablo felt it was a duty for him to learn her. It seemed to be his responsibility to learn her ways, how she worked, then adapt to them. That was his thought anyway.

The female watched with eager amber eyes as the male in front of her thought over her plan. She wasn't exactly open for criticism on this as she had lived her most of her life whilst in Hexasol and she knew the basics about hunting out here. Either way, if Diablo had something to say about her plan, she would listen and give her response, which probably wouldn't be so positive for Diablo. A gentle lick to the ear brought a smile to her face, a sight not seen by many. Watching him take the left flank, Billie automatically made her way to the left.
It was at this point that the dingo wondered if Diablo had any real hunting experience. He looked well fed which was a good sign, but did he hunt the animals himself? Or did he scavenge off others? Either way, Billie was fond of his company and if she had to, she would show him the ins and outs of hunting in a place like this. The strong scent of pork distracted her from her thoughts about the male, and her mind focused entirely on the juicy prize in front of her.
It wasn't long before Billie reached the dry shrubs to wards the left of the walking meal and her desire for the animal was at an all time high. She was itching to pounce forward but she knew if she did, all chances of bringing it down would have been wasted. She was much closer now, but still not close enough to take a run at it. She now just yards away from her prey and her eyes scanned the area of the golden coat of her hunting partner. He was crouched down low to the right of the pig and she could tell he was scanning for her.
The female launched herself forward and she raced to wards her prey. The pig appeared to be dazed to start with but it quickly began to make its way to wards Diablo. Billie's plan from here was the guide the pig to wards the male and allow him to take the deadly bite to the throat. Hopefully Diablo would be quick to catch on to her plan and they should be eating within a matter of minutes. All Billie could do now was steer this boar in the right direction and wish Diablo would manage to finish off the hunt successfully.

Watching Diablo was able to spot Billie only by her white markings and knowing she was in position he settled his eyes back on the pig. Who would move first? He wasn't sure what she expected of him so he took a few careful steps forward. Running the pig toward her wouldn't take much but if she decided to move first he could easily grab at it. Muscles coiled to move she did so first. With a burst of speed he watched as she propelled forward moving the stunned pig right toward him. Still as a dried out tree he watched the boar come closer and closer simply waiting.
Once it was close enough he jumped from the bushes. Squealing in terror their prey ran but Diablo was already to close. Running along side it he sunk his teeth into the side of its big neck and jerked his head along with locked his legs. His own weight stopped the pig and with a jerk of his body he pulled the pig off its feet. It screamed and thrashed trying to get away but readjusting his hold Diablo's fangs sunk into the underside of its neck and held tight. Growling as the pig continued to make the most annoying sound and try to kick at him he shook his head trying to kill it. With a high pitched scream the pigs air cut off and slowly it stopped moving.
The blood coming from its wound filled the dingos mouth running down the sides of his lips as its heart pumped. Slowly the heart grew sluggish, the blood running slower, the lungs took no more air. This prey would die as its life ran over his tongue before spilling onto the ground. That thought almost brought a smile to Diablo's lips but he with held it knowing that Billie was surely around.

The female raced with all her heart directly behind her prey. They black furred boar squealed as it did it's best to escape the hungry dingo behind it. Little did it know though, a second dingo was waiting for him. Billie's golden eyes flickered away from the pig momentarily as she scanned for Diablo. A small grin formed on her eager lips as she watched the male launch himself forward.
Billie took those movements as her cue to slow down slightly. She wanted to give her hunting partner space so he could take down the plump boar. Her eyes watched intently as Diablo sunk his canines in to the animal's thick skin. As the pig began to slow, so did she. The male dingo refused to let go of their prey now that his teeth were around it's neck and the pig was on the ground. A few high-pitched squeals escaped the animal's throat before everything stopped. There was no movement, no noise, no nothing.
The female trotted over to Diablo and the pig when she was sure they had succeeded. "That was very impressive if I do say so myself." She barked between pants, her tongue hanging from her jaw. When the two dingoes first met, Billie was unsure if Diablo would be a good hunter but now she knew. He did good as part of a team, but she wondered how he would cope hunting alone. Shaking thoughts from her head, she eyed up the pig but hesitated in taking a bite. Diablo killed the beast, it was only fair he got first bite.

Speech
Having taken down the pig Diablo let go due to its being dead. His hunting companion had slowed down to let him take the boar but now she came up to in a way congratulate him which was almost touching. Panting with blood dripping from his mouth the dingo licked at his muzzle capturing some of the blood in between taking deep breaths to cool his body and catch his breath after the hunt. Sitting back with his rump in the dirt his eyes went over to his companion once he realized she wasn't moving forward as she should have been.
This was their catch. Yes he had killed the animal, taken its last breath, had its blood run over his tongue, but the right to this meal was as much hers as it was his. Ears swiveling back and head dropping in a submissive manner he stepped back to give her space. “Go ahead,” he murmured with a small smile on his lips. Slowly wagging his tail he just kept looking at her expectantly. “You are much more hungry than I am,” giving her permission Diablo just sat and wait for her to be finished.
In a pack or even a pairing usually the leader or alpha eats first but other wise the one who killed the prey gets first pick. In this situation he expected it to be the second reason for her actions which seemed more reasonable. Perhaps it was the way his mind worked but what ever the reason may be he still just had to figure this out. Was it because she was kind that she gave him the choice of first bite, or was it some pack mentality thing? Never was he good at trusting or just going with the flow of things so as he looked at her with a soft kind gaze the dingo wondered what she thought of him and what she thought of them. What future will they hold, what future will he call his own? He didn't know the answer to any of these questions as usual but still he thought of them.

Billie's ears where wide open so she could hear anything that left her hunting partner's mouth but her deep amber eyes were on the pig and nothing else. She stood with her legs quite wide apart and her tongue hanging from her jaw, panting softly. She was proud of Diablo, and herself as a matter of fact. She hadn't hunted quite so well for a long time now and she was sure most of it had to do with the fact that she had Diablo at her side.
“Go ahead. You are much more hungry than I am,” The female's ears twitched as she heard the male speak. She turned away from the pig to look at him. He was only a short distance away so she stepped over to him and licked his muzzle fondly. 'Thanks.'
And with that done, she almost bounced over to the boar. She could feel her mouth begin to water already and she lowered her neck to take the first bite. She felt sort of exposed, eating in front of another canine but right now she couldn't care less. She was starving and hadn't eaten anything bigger than a mouse for almost a week. The first mouthful was always the best and it beckoned her on. She took a second bite, and then a third and sooner rather than later her stomach was full.
Billie took a step back away from her meal and noticed she had scoffed down at least a third of the animal. She licked her blood-stained lips and glanced over at Diablo. She nodded her head, signaling she was done and sat down beside him. She continued to lick the remaining samples of blood from her muzzle as she waited for her companion to take his share. The feeling of a full stomach was strange to Billie. It was something she hadn't felt for a really long time. It was a nice feeling though, it was comforting and satisfying.

Speech
The way Billie ate told her companion she was hungry and as he sat back he was glad he had let her have first turn on the pig. Stretching out his body by dropping his front legs with rump in the air he layed down comfortably waiting for her to eat what she will. Laying his head over his legs the dingo thought. He thought on his painful and dark past along with this bright and happy present, and he wasn't thinking about his recent present days but this very hour, minuet and second. The last time he could remember being so at peace with himself and those around him was his days as a pup before the death of his sister and the dying of the humans. He was enjoying this renewed sense of peace.
Lost in his millings once she was finished she sat beside him and he realized it was his turn. Pulling himself up onto his paws before moving over to the pig Diablo was surprised at how much was gone. Billie on her own had eaten a third of her body weight which was a third of this pig. With a chuckle he glanced back at the woman who was licking blood from her lips and just smiled before turning his attention back to the pig. He wasn't starving but hunger was pulling at his gut so he ate. After a bit of chewing off meat the man had ended up eating about half of what Billie had but was content enough.
Licking his lips free of the bits of blood Diablo trot over to his companion before giving her forehead and ears a good licking. Plopping down beside her on his back with legs in the air he sighed happily. “Ah... That was good,” he murmured contently as he closed his eyes.
